I actually bought a compustar (RS 1B-AL) car starter. The tech said that I needed another part for the viper and it would cost more money. I switched to the compustar and saved about 50 bucks. This unit works just fine. Took 2.5 hrs to install.

The Viper Remote Starter has operated as expected, and overall I am very happy with it. The only downside is that on my Toyota model, the car shuts off when I touch the door handle to enter the car. If it wasn't for that, I would have given it 5 stars

Geek Squad Auto Techs did an EXCELLENT job installing the Viper DS4+ Remote Starter in my wife's new 2020 Honda CR-V LX AWD! Tho was relatively difficult to use from the start, now my wife is used to it now!

Winter is harsh and cold when you park outside for long periods of time, that’s when a Viper remote starter is a life saver. Just hit the button 20 minutes before getting into your vehicle and when you get into your car it’s magically all warm and cozy!

Had a remote start in my last car so did my research and decided on the Viper SmartStart for my new car. It uses Bluetooth when using the Viper App & came with a keyfob when your phone is not handy. Great to be able to start the car in cold icy conditions or when it’s 100° outside. This is my 2nd Viper Remote Start & highly recommend for your car.

Works well with the remote but the range varries depending on where you are trying to Start the car. Generally range is shorter than I would like.

Best investment ever. No more scraping windshields. And the pit stop feature is cool.

While we purchased this item as a gift, it turns out the item was actually not the correct item we needed. To use this item we needed additional items that Best Buy did not have in stock. They were able to return the item for something that would be able To be installed. Viper is a reputable brand which is why we originally with this but double check prior to buying because you may need additional items.

My wife love the remote start. This is her 4th remote starter. Christmas or birthday it is always a great choice. I get the 5 star again !!

Got this installed just in time for a snow storm that dumped 18 inches on us. It works perfectly! I can start my car from inside of work with the key fob. From home (shorter distance) i can use the mobile app to start my car. I love that i can get into a car that is warm, defrosted and ready to drive. No more waiting in the freezing cold for it to heat up!!
