Works great when it does work. USB 3.0 makes sure its quick and responsive. My unit seems to be unable to power 2 Desktop HDDs at once. Can power a full sized hdd and a laptop hdd or a full size and an SSD but not 2 full sized HDDs. I got access to one or the other. I can only feel the one spinning when flipping the power switch. However I still get plenty of use out of it and I think any heavy pc user can make great use out of it.

I've had 3 computers die for whatever reason, and I had no desire to revive them. However, each had a sata drive for just my data, and this device is the first time I had convenient access to all of my data, without stress! Good "tool" to have in your household.

Perfect for cloning one internal hardrive to another. Also works great for using an internal drive as an external back up drive. Simple to use, set up in seconds and works great!

Delivered quickly. Exactly as described. Used this with WD SSD to clone my old HP Pavilion G6 Laptop hard drive. Easily created a bootable system on the SSD and then replaced old drive in laptop. Feels like a new laptop.

Got this to access several SATA drives, both 2 1/2” SSD and larger 3 1/2” magnetic drives. Worked well for all of them.

The USB connection on an external hard drive broke and I was able to get the hard drive extracted from the case. This unit allowed me to access the drive and recover all of my files successfully and easily.

I’ve used this to backup/clone hard drives to 2.5” SSDs even of differing TB sizes. There are several programs that are compatible to use with cloning so it has worked great for me.

I had two hard drives that I removed from two different computers before recycling them (didn't want the drives to provide access to other folks). With this docking station I was able to reformat the drives and have two new drives available for backup.

Great for transfering old hdd over. It gets minimal use, but hàndy when it is needed.

It's a good device when needed to recover data to a computer

I had a bunch of drive sitting around. This is the easy way to look at whats on them. I also used it to recover data off of a damaged hard drive but it was an "off label" fix.

Old computer motherboard failed but SSD hard drive was OK. Use the docking station to utilize the SSD drive for backups. Use the USB cable provided, dock the old drive, comes up as additional drive on computer, have at it for whatever. Plug and play, no problems.

It's a bit clunky, but it has made accessing my saved hard drives from dead laptops far easier. Note it only does SATA drives, and a few of my old drives have even older connectors, but enough were SATA that this is REALLY worth it.

I had two extra SATA drives collecting dust and there was no space in my computer. Luckily, this little device was the perfect choice for adding two extra drives, externally. I can remove them as I please. Easy to use. I backed up my computer to one of the drives.

I bought this when my laptop died and I needed access to the data on the two installed hard drives. This arrived promptly and allowed me to easily copy needed files to my desktop PC.

Great product for recovering data on old HDD/SSD that require you to extract data. This is also great for adding additional storage to a NAS for routine/firmware updates.

The dock works as I expected. Unfortunately the case is way to light in weight and is thin plastic and so when pressing the eject buttons it looks like they are going to break. The size is also to big (takes more space on my desk than an external drive) and the USB connection cable is short.

I fill up hard drives quickly. So instead I purchased this and a few extra SSD 120g drives and now fill them, take them out, fill them, take them out, each SSD has its own categories. You can use regular internal HDs with it too but they are too bulky for me.
