Took a trip out west . worked well telling us where to go in Yellowstone

I love it, voice is very clear and notices to turn are given in advance, but not to soon, just right. I travel in a city I am not familiar with and have never gotten lost.

Pros: Works as advertised. Clear voice, directions and display. Cons: 1, Gives local names of roads instead of the rout numbers as seen on road signs. Can be confusing. 2, Some pronunciations of road names are funny. 3, There should be more verbal command options, such as "fastest rout" or "shortest rout". 4, Eliminate asking if I want to begin navigation after setting a destination.

I really wanted to like the GPS unit and bought the one with the larger screen. I was considering buying an in dash head unit with the Garmin Nav and unfortunately since this unit was so bad, I wont be using Garmin in the future. The unit was easy to set up out of the box. Make sure you take the time before you go on your trip to update the firmware and maps via wifi as it can take 30 minutes. Inputting a full address was difficult. The unit seemed to only want to search my state and when I tried to search other states, it would come back with no results. Inputting an address on the go is not recommended. Instead I loaded the address the night before and selected them from the recent menu. The plug the GPS comes with also works as the traffic antenna/transponder. So in order for the GPS to provide any traffic info, it must always be at least plugged in with the 12volt plug. Even if the unit is fully charged it must remain plugged in for traffic to work. Which brings me to the next issue. The plug only provides traffic updates in 10 minutes interval. So we frequently ran into major traffic and accidents only for the GPS to inform us when it was already to late. You could download the Garmin app on your phone and then you will use data to get more instant traffic updates but the while point was for us to not eat into our data. We ended up running Google Maps in parallel with the Garmin and it was night and day. Google maps was informing us of accidents, red light cameras, traffic and automatically rerouting us well before Garmin even knew about it. We ended up turning the Garmin off for the rest of the trip and putting gin the glovebox. Easy to set up and the screen was great, those are the only pros I can give this unit. I returned it.

This worked as good as anything i have ever own own. So far has not me down on all my trips

I have really enjoyed this product. I like having it plugged in and freeing up my phone. I can keep my phone charged much easier this way. The screen settings are very handy. I can look to see how many miles to go and what time I should get there. I do like the way it shows the lane you need to be in even after you exit. I would recommend this GPS to anyone.

This has everything! Voice commands? Yes, they MOSTLY work. Sometimes it has trouble recognizing an address. But for the basics, such as "go home," it works great. It has a nice, large screen, and it pairs with an app to your phone to allow it to get live traffic and weather updates. You can go into Google maps, select "share," and send the address to the Drive app, which will immediately put the destination into the GPS. Map and firmware updates can be pulled directly from your home Wifi. The only real issue is that the built-in BlueTooth speaker phone option volume is tied to the master volume. So if you turn down the GPS voice, you turn down your call volume. It also STILL uses the ancient mini-USB connector. Other than that, it has been great.

Its working great so far, i got this to travel to NJ. gonna get an extended warranty just in case
