I also had an incident where my grandson left the door ajar but I never heard the alert. Most of my food was about to be defrosted. Some food had to be shared with my daughter. Otherwise, it functions well. Im also unable to adjust the temperature

We did not, 18 month and the unit died. Best Buy won’t touch it without the extended coverage, Insignia won’t repair anything smaller than 19 cubic feet, called several independent repair shops, no one will touch it.

Broken after 18 months.

Haven't had it fixed yet but we lost about $1,000 worth of food that we had in it. Guess I'll buy the extended warranty next time but something like this shouldn't breakdown so fast.
