As it was purchased to provide extra/overflow refrigerator space in my garage, I was glad to find a product that would allow me to maximize refrigerator space with a small footprint, right next to my Insignia chest freezer. So far, it’s done exactly what it’s supposed to do, keeping food and drinks cold.

Nice basic freezer

With the Covid-19 pandemic, it has been hard to find a freezer, but this one came back into stock before anything else. It's been in our freezer a couple months now, and it seems to be doing fine. It isn't full, but everything in it is frozen, and it's not too loud. It has plenty of storage space.

New Freezer

After searching we decided on the Insignia 13.8 convertible upright freezer. Delivery was prompt and courteous and all I can say as of right now we are extremely happy with it, no regrets at all. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a new freezer or a first time buyer.

The fridge part was freezing food in a certain area, on a certain shelf - it was bizarre. We didn't really utilize the freezer portion of that unit, so when we found this model that allowed us to turn the entire thing into a fridge we were pretty excited. The temperature stays very consistent with what you set the unit to. There is a premium feel to the unit whenever you open the door, you hear a tone, and see the display light up. We're very happy with our purchase, and recommend this anyone looking to add some additional fridge or freezer space in their garage :)

Works well, but makes scary noises

It also got cold quickly. I couldn't give it 5 stars because it keeps making squealing & thumping noises. So much so thay it startles the dog. Afraid its going to go out on me like my last fridge did after just 3 years. Fortunately I only paid half as much for this one.
