Exactly what we needed to replace chest freezer

This freezer allows us to A)hold more stuff and (more importantly!) B) organize the stuff we have by shelf so there's no more digging around looking for mozzarella sticks for 10 minutes. Quality appears to be pretty high and the flexibility of using as a fridge is nice even though we don't plan on using it that way.

Others have mentioned the door not closing all the way. I had the same problem. I found this is due to the rubber seal binding against the frame on the hinge side of the door. Putting a very thin coat of petroleum jelly on the mating surface of the gasket solved the issue. Also, make sure you level the unit. The door and frame will not align perfectly or close properly if the unit is out of level.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nice freezer, it works as of now- we've had it since this morning- but had to spend over an hour to drive for pick up. Got home and unboxed to find that it is dented in several spots, one which is more of a "fold" than a dent. Needed it desperately before monday so couldn't do much about it today, however I did spend the extra money on protection/warranty so I called and my options are $50 reimbursement or drive all the way back and exchange which now means that what I needed the freezer for will need to be unloaded and sit for at least 3 hours while we get the replacement and get it cooled. I took pictures but customer service wasn't interested in seeing them. My ideal resolution would have been that customer service would have the replacement delivered.

garage freezer

As a result, it was not possible to attached the handle securely. Contacting customer service was a hassle and extremely frustrating. After inputting numbers on the phone (e.g., press 1 for this, press 2 for that, etc. ) The first person told me she couldn't help and I would have to go to the store. The store told me I had to call the 800 number. I finally connected with some one who found the transaction and said they would send a replacement, but it was out of stock so it would take a couple of weeks. A month later, I am still waiting for the handle.
