Holds temperature very well. I read a couple other reviews that state the door is hard to open due to tight seal. I will agree that the seal on the door is very tight. I do have to place my hand on the side of the cabinet to keep freezer from sliding forward on my tile floor when trying to open. I am not sure I see this as a negative. I much rather have a good seal then one that leaks air.
