While still in the box, it looks like it will be fine for the next time I'm going somewhere with someone with Iphone. I have Google Pixel that uses the EU standard, and most popular, USB C. Apple made me buy this.

The cord plugs into the USB port in my Subaru Impreza with the other end plugging into my phone, it charges my phone quite well and most important it is compatible.
