WORTH IT

The automatic focus on this lens is a cheat code. bash on me all you want, it has great focus and captures excellent photos. Takes in good light. make sure to be a distance away from your target as it is a wider lens than your typical zoom one that comes with your camera.

Unsung hero of a Canon lens

The reason is because it is so portable, fast and sharp. I love having this 50mm on my Canon R6. I feel like I can go anywhere with it and not draw attention to myself. Exotic lenses are fun, but this is a workhorse lens for many situations like street photography, closeup photography, portraiture, and landscapes.

Don't let fool you the lite weight and price.

I thought maybe the picture there got be no so good but it fool me wahoo it a really good quality picture I take with this lens. I'm amazed. This Canon RF 50mm 1.8 lens is a bargain.
