Great dryer and works perfectly. Install was fine until I had to flip the door to open on the other side. Took a little extra time but now that it’s done the dryer is great.

This is a smart dryer but it didn’t not dry my clothes the first the round. So, don’t waste your money.

We would like to provide guidance with this dryer. Drying performance will vary based on multiple factors such as the size of the load, the type of fabric (cottons hold more water than synthetics), the wetness of the clothes and the condition of your exhaust ventilation. Using the proper venting material and making sure the vent ductwork is the proper length is very important to the operation of a dryer. We recommend the use of a solid metal vent pipe 4" in diameter for adequate operation. 4" diameter flexible metal venting may be used but will increase the drying time. We don't recommend the use of flexible, white, plastic vent pipe. This type of vent pipe can collapse and restrict the airflow, causing lint to build up inside the dryer. We also advise removing and cleaning the lint filter each time it is used. The filter can be washed with warm soapy water to remove fabric softener residue from the screen.
We have provided some additional troubleshooting tips to help with the drying of your items in the article "Dryer - Taking Too Long To Dry Clothes or Not Drying at All" on our GE Appliances website. Bought this for the low price. The clothes are not completely dried when using the sensing function. I end up running it manually for a little while longer.

We are extremely frustrated with this dryer. We consistently have to run two cycles to dry towels and jeans, even on the highest setting. No matter how hot we set it, the towels and jeans come out damp after an hour. I’ve followed the instructions, and the vents are clear and properly aligned, but it just doesn’t seem to work well. Either it’s a poor-quality dryer, or we got a lemon.
So much for saving energy. I completely regret purchasing this unit. I would have returned it within the return window, but we were called out of town on an emergency and didn’t have a chance to properly test it until it was too late. Now we’re stuck with this giant metal warming cube.

the dryer lint filter is a tad small. The light in the drum is nice!

Terrible dryer. Wife would return if we could. within a month of ownership, we had a technician out and still doesn’t dry clothes. Tech advised today’s dryers don’t dry clothes. We don’t use any sensor dry, only max time dry and it is terrible. Do not buy.

Couldn't Get It Right

After 4 dyers delivered that were all damaged, I had to switch to a Maytag. The first one took over 2 hours to dry one small load of laundry. The replacements were all damaged. The last was badly dented and the guys didn't even bring it into the house. Apparently every single dryer from the warehouse was damaged. This makes no sense. I had to take off 5 days of work to wind up with no dryer after a month. I would never buy a dryer from GE again.
