I scheduled a second date for install and they came too early and no one was home. One of my pipes got broken, it was probably old. And the rental truck they were driving had bad battery and i had to wake up my husband to give them a jump.

The first one, a top load model, has been in use for over 8 years and is now being used by my daughter. However, this front load washer has been problematic. In May of this year, we had to replace the water pump despite regular cleaning and maintenance as recommended by Samsung. Now, the drum bearings have failed and repairs could cost up to $600 and take several weeks due to parts availability and labor hours. Unfortunately, the Best Buy protection plan has expired, leaving us with an unusable washer purchased on June 8, 2022. While the washer has attractive features and is compatible with the SmartThings app, the frequent breakdowns make it a poor investment. As a loyal Samsung customer who also owns Samsung phones and a Q80 TV, I am deeply disappointed with this product. It is worth noting that our Samsung refrigerator's ice maker has also experienced multiple issues. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this particular washer to others.

My dogs have shorthair and don't shed very much but I have to remove and clean the filter every 2 weeks (about 5-6 loads) or the machine stops working mid-load. Dog hair on the rubber seal made water leak out the door although the self clean cycle fixed that issue. The machine stopped with a SUD error, allegedly meaning I used too much detergent. I used one HE pod for a full load. It took me an hour to fix that error message. The top of the washer is full of scratches from a plastic hamper and the spin cycle shakes the whole house.

The estimates we received to repair, were more than 50-60% of the cost for a new machine. So needless to say we needed a new one.

I stacked them and they work fantastic. They have many options for washing and dryer, including steam. The lint trap for dryer is a great design. No more lint all over dryer.
