Well thats where this heatsink ssd comes into play! Super easy install and instant storage after formatting! Easy to move your games around to the new storage drive! Truly I’d recommend this to every PS5 owner out there wishing to upgrade their storage capacity!

Great Upgrade for Additional Space

Chose this one as it was on sale and we didn't have to install the heat sink. Installation was super easy, and configuration on the PS5 was very straight forward. Moved several of our games over and did not notice any reduction in load times.

At first I thought it was going to be tricky to install but it turned out to be super simple. My PS5 recognized it immediately and there is a legit 2TB of storage available for use.

Getting close to 7000 read speed. This will last the whole lifecycle of the console. Would definitely recommend! The Best Buy install video was also really helpful.

Expensive, but probably worth it

But I did find out that installing a bunch of PS Plus titles did fill up the native 625GB drive pretty quickly. The good news here is that you are adding this SSD to your existing game storage, not replacing it. You just have to specify in Settings where you want new games to be installed. But once they are downloaded, you can play from either drive. Pretty neat. After a few months of usage, this SSD loads games just as fast as the native drive. Also, it is easy to install- just look up online for a walk-through.
