Our old dryer that we got from another company only lasted 3 years. It was giving us a headache from day one. This one is paying us back and treating us well. The functionally and the drying time is awesome.

I replaced my machine for the same reason. My new machine stopped working with the start button not working 17 days after n new machine was delivered. Have to deal with GE directly as Best Buy only deals with 15 days or less. GE waiting period to come out is one to two weeks. They will be here tomorrow 10 days later with no dryer for service. I DON'T WANT SERVICE FOR A DEFAULT DRYER . I PAID FOR A NEW MACHINE.

This replaced a 10 year-old dryer, maybe the previous model. I find it is definitely louder than the previous model. You definitely want it behind closed doors when using. That’s the only complaint that I have found.
