I absolutely love this TV! I was a bit nervous about buying a budget OLED since I had a premium one from a few years before. This model has insane sound quality. It even sounds better than my LG OLED E6! The colors are crisp and sharp. 120Hz too. I got this on super sale at 529.99 and it was a steal. The slightly bigger 55” is around 400 more. I’m so happy I went with this one. You cannot buy a bad budget OLED as long as it’s a major brand. Only gripe would be no manual input selection on remote, it’s kind of automatic when you switch on a new device or have to swap in the home button mode. Either way this one’s highly recommend recommended!

Perfect picture, perfect size, connected to my room-sized speaker system. The B5 is the first OLED, and it is amazing -- for the definition, the color depth, the black rendering. I get a view of repeats of shows I saw before and they jumped off the screen now with their quality. Another plus was much less power consumption than the one I replaced.
It is over my fireplace (with a big mantle to protect), so I could not do a gigundo size -- it fits subtly into the room without overpowering -- but entertaining!
I used the Geeksquad installation (of course) with the Best Buy Full Motion TV Wall Mount for 47–84" TV. They were able to pull my existing cables through the wall with the new HDMI 2.1 cable to handle the increased resolution. Super tech squad, quick, effective work -- made it look as though the house had been built around it.
But I buy everything I can from my local Best Buy -- I get to see and touch the product, get great advice from the floor sales/tech squad, and have often gotten the "equal the best price" guarantee. I have no clue where they find their team of such tech-savvy, honest, personable folks.

I’ve been using the LG 48" OLED TV for a little while now, and it has completely transformed my viewing experience. The picture quality is on another level. The blacks are truly black, colors pop without looking artificial, and the overall clarity makes everything from movies to sports feel more immersive.
The size is perfect for a living room or even a larger bedroom, and the ultra‑thin design gives it a sleek, modern look. LG’s interface is smooth and intuitive, and connecting my streaming apps and devices was effortless.

Love this TV. We have a severe reflection issue in the afternoons in our family room as well as a space limitation in our wall unit. This TV significantly helps with this problem and perfectly fits into our wall unit. Worked with the LG trainer at Best Buy to help decide if the B or C class would be best for our needs and, with his help decided that in the 48" sized TV, the extra benefits of the C class wouldn't be worth the extra $400. This allowed us to also purchase a new LG soundbar that seamlessly pairs with the TV and greatly enhances our sound by using the TVs speakers for speech and the soundbar to enhance the bass and make for a fuller and richer sound. BTW, switched from a 5 year old Samsung and the brightness, clarity and richness of the picture on the LG TV are far superior. Set up for both the TV and soundbar were relatively quick and easy as were the adjustments for both picture and sound. All in all a GREAT TV and a welcome upgrade from my Samsung.

**LG B5 48" OLED TV Review**
**Pros:**
* Great low price for OLED technology in 2025.
* Brightness is good and won’t be much of an issue in especially low to moderately lit rooms.
* Colors are great but can wash out a bit in lighter scenes, especially with a lot of white or bright areas. The peak luminance setting affects this to some degree. However, colors and white balance look almost lifelike in certain scenes.
* Sound quality is pretty impressive, and has lots of depth for built-in speakers, that even 3D audio effects and explosions are quite immersive for a thin panel.
* General uniformity is great across the panel with only minor flaws.
* It has 4 HDMI 2.1 ports, which is amazing to still see on a mid-range TV, despite two of them being located directly on the back.
* The TV stays cool and doesn’t add much, if any, extra heat to the room.
* Build quality is decent, with a mostly metal frame and glass panel. It feels a little flimsy and wobbly due to how thin the frame is, despite having solid metal stands on each corner. There’s some motherboard flex when plugging in cables and strange power supply noises at times.
**Cons:**
* Unfortunately, picture processing is average. Motion is a little blurry and not incredibly smooth for a native 120Hz panel. The motion processing doesn’t do the best job of keeping content clear during fast movement, even with de-judder and de-blur maxed out. Overall, processing doesn’t look as polished and clean as competing brands.
* Upscaled lower-resolution content also suffers and lacks sharpness in the background, causing softness and a lack of detail and immersion. Since motion processing needs good reference frames, it causes fast panning shots and quick movement on screen to retain that softness and blur.
* Unfortunately, using any setting to counteract a problem the TV creates becomes counterintuitive, as it adds another kind of flaw to the picture. Competing brands tend to do the processing tricks just right, straight out of the box, without affecting the quality and immersion of the picture. Then you can further adjust from that already good out-of-the-box reference, whereas on this model, trying to find the right setting to mitigate the processing flaws here seems tedious and not user-friendly.
* The processor is extremely slow. Navigating through the settings feels sluggish, even for a mid-range TV. They took away the ability to set it as a basic TV with the more recent firmware revisions to help mitigate TV processing, and built-in apps struggle with performance issues.
* The remote is quite bad and unnecessarily a chore to use, especially with the pointer and scroll wheel being finicky. The updated one without the number pad loses some important buttons and functionality, which affects ease of use.
* Burn-in and lifespan degradation are still concerns of mine in 2025.
**Conclusion:**
Good TV, but it's not worth it's MSRP. Hopefully, they release an update to address processing issues first and foremost.

Great Entry Level Budget OLED Gaming TV !

It is a great TV for console gaming(Xbox). 4K , 120hz, OLED, everything you would want! So while the C5 and G5 models do look a bit better , for the doorbuster price of 529 I paid for(48 inch) , better bang for the buck than the C5 at 1,000 at the same size. The only thing I will mention as expected with OLEDS is the glare during the day for dark scenes, but you can fix that with blackout curtains or simply watch movies at night. Even when i do play during the day , the glare isnt that bothersome, but I suppose others would argue. There are multiple settings to play around with, but game optimization mode is pretty neat. I wish there was a FPS counter , but not a deal breaker. Brightness is actually at a good level and not too bright like other models have. Sound is average as expected with any TV. If you are looking at this TV for Black Friday 2025 , i dont think you will regret it.

I love this TV. It's my first OLED and I'm not going back to LCD or anything besides OLED, it's amazing. I'm using it for my PC, ps5, Switch 2 and Xbox and it's great for all of them gaming wise. 120hz, oled, low MS, really can't go wrong with this OLED for the price. I got the 48" and I am use to 58+ with LCD since they're cheaper, I do wish I would've went bigger but the price difference...We need to work on that.
Also, the sound on the TV is great! I have a surround sound setup but if I didn't, I would be more than happy with just using the TV for sound. Has some great settings for the sound also to tune it for whatever content you have going and gaming options for increased volume with footsteps and stuff. It's great.

I was looking for a high quality screen to act as a dual purpose display to watch TV and play on my computer. The picture quality is amazing, the jump from 1080 to 4k is very impressive, with the addition of having deeper colors. It has a great refresh rate which make gaming feel smoother and more responsive. The speakers aren't that bad either, they have more bass than my last cheap tv had. The remote control is poorly designed in my opinion though, the only real gripe i have, it was easy enough to learn but it feels over designed and poorly executed.

This is my first OLED TV and it is amazing. I have it in my room so the size is perfect. I mainly use it to play on my PS5 and it honestly feels like a brand new console. I am blown away by the colors and VRR is amazing as well. The UI can be better but it is not an issue for me. Very happy with this purchase.

Getting this TV for less than $600 is probably the best value in television that I’ve seen in years. First off, this is a 2025 LG OLED 48” TV. Dont let the size deceive you. After setting this up in my son’s room, we watched The Martian streamed thru Netflix. From the start, we were blown away with the picture, color and details that we saw. It didn’t matter we were watching on a 48” screen, watching a movie on this OLED is better than watching on our 3 yr old 75” TV. And thus was even on a movie being streamed. How much better would it have been if it were from blu ray? Also, we were wondering how the sound would be coming from a small TV. We asked the Best Buy rep and he said we probabky would need a separate soundbar as the TV would be lacking in sonic pleasure. Let me tell you, audition this TV at home first before getting an extra soubdbar. The sound coning from this TV belies it’s diminutive size! I’m not just saying it’s loud. The sound is detailed and expansive—another surprise that we had! If youre in the market for a bedroom TV, you better not let thus bargain pass abd run over to Best Buy and get thus right now! If you havent watched an OLED TV in your home before (in a darkened room, of course) you wil be blown away. My thoughts running in my mind while watching The Martian was all the wasted moments, watching all those hours, months, and years on an inferior TV. I really felt all those times were wasted missing the visual experience that an OLED TV could have given. So for sll of you young ones out there, do not waste your time watching TV on a lesser TV. You have the technology available now that wasn’t available 15 or so years ago, and what’s more important—it’s also affordable! By the way, I didn’t mention anything about gaming. I am not a gamer. But my son is! If you’re a gamer, you probably already know that an OLED screen is the only way to go if you want the best visual experience.

2025 LG B5 OLED is likely the best value

If you are looking for a massive PC monitor upgrade without paying the "monitor tax," the 2025 LG B5 OLED is likely the best value on the market right now. I’m using this strictly as a PC monitor, and honestly, it’s amazing.
The jump to OLED on a desktop is hard to overstate. The "perfect blacks" and infinite contrast make standard IPS or VA gaming monitors look washed out by comparison. Whether I'm playing dark, atmospheric games or watching 4K content, the image depth is incredible. Because I'm sitting close to it (monitor distance), the brightness is more than enough—I actually keep the OLED Pixel Brightness turned down slightly to reduce eye strain.
Setup Tip: You must go into the Home Dashboard and change the input icon to "PC." This forces the TV into 4:4:4 chroma subsampling. Once you do this, text is crisp, sharp, and perfectly readable.
Pros:
Unbeatable contrast and color depth (OLED).
120Hz is incredibly smooth for desktop use.
Cons:
Requires a deep desk (at least 30 inches) to view comfortably.
Reflective coating means you need to control the lighting in your room.

The picture quality on the LG B5 OLED is absolutely top-notch colors are vibrant, blacks are deep, and the overall clarity is stunning. Brightness is more than adequate; even with the TV positioned beside a window, it still looks crisp and vivid during the day. The Magic Remote makes navigation effortless and adds to the overall convenience. LG’s webOS interface is decent simple to use, responsive, and gets the job done without fuss.

Got this at their lowest price this year, on sale...$530.
At any rate, this TV is better than the Samsung 50" smart TV this LG replaced.
From color reproduction, really black blacks, clarity of picture and the all round ease of setup and use. The remote is way better than most TVs. I watched YouTube videos on how to best understand its function and it's great.
Set up was pretty easy. Hooked up the HDMI to my PC and the TOSLINK audio to my receiver and I was ready to go.
I use my PC for everything I watch on this TV, which means I basically use the LG as a monitor. Cheapest 48-inch OLED monitor ever. Fees are avoided to watch anything I want, plus I have a very cool PC monitor with a great pic and refresh rate. This TV has a myriad of features. Too many to list here, but YouTube has many videos showing how to use them. After watching this for a few days, I hooked up the Samsung 50 inch to compare side by side. All round clarity, color reproduction, deep blacks and crispness of text, is far superior. One thing I noticed was, this TV works best in a completely darkened room, or at least a room where curtains or shades can block most of the outside light. The screen is high gloss so in a room with ambient light, be prepared for reflections and a somewhat not as vibrant pic. It's also very thin and overall weight is 25 lbs. Considering the sale price I paid for this puppy, I'm a very
happy camper.
The delivery was late by the company they use called Roadie. Other than that, I feel good about this purchase and time will tell if I still feel the same.

Yea yea... this thing rocks with its socks off! No cold feet over here and i just jumped on it. This tv blows my 27in ips 120hz monitor out of the water, inky blacks, bright, crisp, and that color ooh lala. The only con is that it dont make me sammiches.. but thats what your mom is for.
All in all this thing rocks as a tv/gaming monitor. Just buy it!

The LG B5 48" is an outstanding OLED TV that delivers premium picture quality at a great value. The moment you turn it on, the deep blacks and vibrant colors stand out—classic OLED performance that makes movies, sports, and games look incredibly lifelike. The contrast is excellent, and HDR content pops beautifully without feeling over-processed.

Purchased during Black Friday, and I have to say it’s been one of the best buys I’ve made. At this price point, it far exceeds expectations. I don’t use the TV for gaming, only for watching sports and movies, both look incredible. I was initially concerned about the brightness based on value ratings compared to higher-end models, but in real-world use it’s fantastic. The TV is wall mounted with two large windows on either side, and I still turned off all brightness-boosting settings and lowered the brightness to nearly the minimum. I truly have no complaints.
