    I went o use this product and they said I never purchased it although I was told I did and now I’m paying 300 to have my computer. Fix the assist store manager was not help! I was given a 1888 Best Buy number no one answers. I actual cried from the lack of service. I’m a struggling nurse and this was an unexpected expense. I wish I understood what was going on in the purchase better.

    HATE HATE HATE. The graphics driver Bluescreened if it is updated to recent drivers. Want a refund.

    Our order arrived today, the box seemed previously opened… As soon as we got home, we installed the PC, got no image…. Googled the same PC and to my surprise this is a common issue. Not happy with the product, I went o. The chat with geek squad, it was useless, called geek squad, they were a lot more helpful, still no signal. Returning this tomorrow afternoon.

    I have a several year old tablet Samsung Galaxy SM-T800 that need a new battery. It was purchased at Best Buy. For that, I called the 800 number for the Geek Squad and explained what I needed. They told me that Best Buy did not carry the required replacement battery but I could get it online, somewhere else, and guided me to the website to buy it. They told me that I should buy it and take it to my local store in Reno for the replacement, free of charge under the Totaltech support. They scheduled me for that on 6/6/2023 at 10:20am. Since then, and for several days, I have been receiving remainders of the appointment, that I confirmed. I got to the Reno store at the indicated time, and to my surprise, I was told that they could not do the repair, and to go somewhere else. I am reading at the Best Buy website that they are a "Samsung authorized service center" and offer to repair computers and tablets. Because of the refusal, I went to a local computer store and they charged me $86 for the battery replacement. On discussing the issue with my neighbors, they saw the Geek refusal as unwarranted and suggested I should contact a higher level person in the system. Of interest, after my failed appointment, I received a text message from Best Buy indicating that I had missed the appointment.

    I bought the iBuyPower-SlateMR Gaming Desktop SKU# 6500551 for $799.99 I would have been better off using that money to go to Las Vegas and having better luck than I did getting this system to operate with any consistency. It froze up while playing a game or just being on the internet. I sent it to be repaired via Geek Squad and yes I purchased a service plan too. I got the system back with the claim it was working fine. Soon after it went back to freezing up again. Thanks Best Buy for nothing.

    A "protection plan" that is hardly a "plan" at all

    Best Buy's "Geek Squad 'service'" has me looking to local options on future technology purchases. I bought a desktop P.C. through them, and purchased their protection plan that claims to be for three years. Now, after the P.C. failed about a year and a half later, I scheduled an appointment, was promptly called by best buy and told they could not diagnose or repair the P.C. in the store. I was directed to corporate, where the first available appointment was two weeks later. If this is a "protection plan", I am taking my business elsewhere.

    Bought the extra coverage because I knew I would need some assistance with my first pc. Sure enough, within 2 weeks I had my new pc at the store due to over heating. The guy tells me the coverage I purchased equals them shipping off my pc to their “tech center” which would take about 3-5 weeks (which is wrong) after being persistent & showing my receipt he said never mind, they could look at it in 3-5 days but if they find anything wrong with it, they won’t replace the parts, which is the exact opposite of what the geek squad rep told me over the phone, who said that for example if my fan was causing my over heating issue they would install a new/better ones. Clearly not the case. I asked this guy multiple very standard questions & he said “I can’t answer that without looking at it first”. Went into Best Buy eager to learn about how to repair my pc & basic pc knowledge, ending up leaving Best Buy & just returning the PC because I’m not dealing with this headache. 0 help from the “experts”

    Not happy with there service. Purchased 2 Samasung Galaxy A71 5g phone got the protection. My phone got accidentally dropped out of my pocket during winter it hit a ice chunk shattered the screen. Drove 1hr ina half to bestbuy to be shipped a replacement that was refurbished not new replacement and i paid the deductible for a used piece of crap replacement. Why dont they let you get a replacement in store for the same price of your phone I was ripped off by bestbuy an geeksquad the phone were 600 a piece. SO WORD TO THE WARNING DONT GET THIS.

    The Computer is great overall!!! But when it comes to the protection plan that I have purchased, it should not take approximately 2 months for me to receive a replacement keyboard. I have dealt with constant calling to get help to resolve this issue just to be running around in a circle because someone on their end wasn't doing their job. Anyhow!!! After darn near 7 times speaking to multiple agents, supervisors as well as having this matter escalated 2 times. I finally gave up, then boom, 2 weeks later after the month long cat and mouse back and forth, the keyboard was finally delivered. I expect that if I paid for a protection plan and having so much trouble, I should at least be compensated in some way shape or form. BEST BUY, I LOVE YA'LL BUT YA'LL NEED TO DO BETTER!!! Customer service was nice when having to speak to someone, but there was a few in between, who seemed so non chalaunt and dismissive!!! If you don't like your job, get another job!! But don't treat paying and supportive customers like CRAP with a CRAPPY attitude, when we customers are the ones dealing with the problems at hand and just simply calling in to get the problem resolved peacefully!!! I would recommend Geek Squad of course, but please do better!!!! I spend lots of money on different accounts whether, online or instore , cash or credit!!! and when I spend, I spend...Because I LIKE NICE THINGS!!!!

    My old BB purchased HP desktop finally failed. Took to BB/Riverside CA where they transferred photographs & data from the old hard-drive to a BB purchased Western Digital external drive. Got instructions from Geek Squad on how to install photos on new Linovo desktop which I purchased today from BB Riverside CA. I had problems transferring the data & photos at home. Called Geek Squad @ 1-800-433-5778 for tech support because I purchased the 3-year coverage. The tech would NOT help me in trying to figure out why no transfer and, worse, she hung up on me! I spent almost a $1,000 today at BB and got real LOUSY service. She wanted more money to help me transfer out which BB put on the external drive. I'm a long term customer of BB and also a stock shareholder in the corporation. They let me down today big time!!!!!!!!!! written on 2-25-2021 Scott

    when I purchased my new computer. This offer popped up to purchase and I thought OK so if I have problems I can take it in to be worked on. The whole reason for buying from Best Buy. Well it doesn't cover my computers issues right now it only covers damage due to dropping breaking the outside. Well this is a desk top not a laptop. When I purchased that wasn't what I thought this was. I don't know why the offer popped up when I was purchasing a desktop. Now my computer is broke and if I pay another $200 I can get it fixed. I won't do this again.

    I ordered a computer with Geeek Squad 1 yr plan and this was a mistake. I meant to put 3 year plan. While the computer was in the warehouse they refused to change it to a 3 year subscription even though the computer had not shipped yet. I called within 24 hours of purchase. Made no difference to them. Totally inflexible so I will refuse computer delivery and it will be sent back to best buy at their cost. The plan had nothing to do with the shipment of the computer, it was just a piece of paper.

    I purchased Kaspersky internet security. I tried four times to fix an error message with the online services and still have the same error message that I am not protected. I have Norton 360 with my ISP but let them talk me into Kaspersky. On my last attempted I was told to take my computer back to the store. I have only had it for 3 months. I also completed a survey expressing the same and have heard nothing. I have purchased over 7K in merchandise in the 2016-2017 and there seems to be no care about retention. Like the survey I mentioned I am sure there will be no attention to this rating.

    I brought my Desktop Computer in for its first repair as part of a 3 year plan. After calls with 13 different agents, minimal updates and 35 days later, I was given a refund for my item as they couldn’t source parts for the repair and didn’t have a similar item in stock to switch out for me. The stress this service caused was absolutely not worth having it. Agents in store/online have no idea what the service center is looking at and vice versa. I Would not purchase again. The only positive is that I did receive a full refund of the original purchase price of my item plus tax, but no credit for my protection plan was refunded, even though no repairs were completed and I only had the plan for 1.5 out of 3 years.

    After 4 months of owning my lenovo laptop, the motherboard burned up. I took it to the geeks, they sent it for repair, came back in 2 weeks, and 20 minutes later, the motherboard burned up again. Sent it for repair again and told them "Don't just change the motherboard, something is wrong with the cooling unit". They burned 5 more motherboards. I asked them to call me at least 10 times, they never did. At the end a customer service rep told me it was my fault because the first year the warranty is covered by the manufacturer, not best buy. I told her that this was the first time I heard that, she just simply ignored me. I had to dispute the charge in my credit card and submit a BBB complain to get somebody from Best Buy to call me. The only thing I got is that they did a partial refund of the purchase. I will NEVER buy ANYTHING related to the geek squad again.
