If it cost a Pretty Penny..... Protection Plan it!

I've been buying protection plans at Best buy for YEARS. I am a firm believer in protecting my investment. It only takes one oops, that might be that one time that finishes off your product. Best Buy has always been the best at covering their protection plans. I currently have 20 active protection plans. Be it a Microwave, Air Conditioner, Ring doorbell, GoPro, headsets, blue tooth speakers, Blu-Ray players, game controllers. Yes, I even have one on my Refrigerator. I consider it my piece of mind.

I typically pay extra for the warranty on items that are very costly or have a higher probability of breaking like washing machines, refrigerators, certain TV's, children's headphones, etc.I mention these because I have had to use in he past. Small type items like headphones are easily exchanged while items like washing machines, refrigerators or TV may require repair before replacement is approved. All of these situations have occurred and I have Neve had any issues with repairs or replacements.

Should be more than 5stars to rate this! Geek squad is amazing! You don't really know how amazing til you have to use it. If it's offered please get it. It could really save your butt. If you're a gamer get that mic or controller protected. If it goes out let them see what the problem is and as long as It wasn't an act of God they will get you going out the door that day with a replacement or repair! It's a life saver. Why try and sell off your messed up controller when you can take it back to the store and trade it out if covered and only have to repay the protection plan. It's a win win. Go for the best buy with Best Buy!

When I buy any electronics from Best Buy I always buy a protection plan. Nothing is made perfect and the person who handles the product is definitely not perfect. In cases where the product is missed handled (in most cases) that protection plan come in very handy. I have used this service a few times especially with things I have purchased for my young son. I am thankful this service is available.

Great Extended Warranty

I purchased an extended 2 year warranty on a Xbox headset for my son. Within 2 weeks of the warranty expiring my son noticed his headset was gradually cutting in and out. I took the headset to Best Buy thinking I’d have to explain the situation and they’d attempt to fix it. No questions asked they told me to go out to the floor and grab a brand new one. Best Buy hands down has the best extended warranty policy. Worth the purchase.

If you're the kind of person who uses controllers a lot and finds yourself going through them quickly, Geek Squad's replacement service is for you. When buying something expensive like an Elite controller, the peace of mind knowing that if something happens you can get a new controller right away is well worth the additional price. Not getting it would be a huge mistake. You will need it.

I always recommend to everyone as the employees do themselves to customers to purchase this plan for all your products because you may never know if there’s a faulty unit you purchased of a particular item that Best Buy will make sure to correct the problem for you with the best customer service I’ve experienced with all my electronics products purchased. It’s essential to your purchases, rather safe than sorry! Worth it!

I have had these going on 2 years and man it has been a blast being able to just pick up your headset switch your audio to all and go has been great. I can hear footsteps, jam to music or just watch videos with no audio issues. With the price there are problems the headset randomly cutting out when u are in range just plan sucks and happens each time there worn, the range is 25-30 feet but really seems to be 10 anything past that with start the choppy cut outs like dial up is trying to help, the base takes a certain skill to connect when putting the headset back and I have used my warranty due to a cord or input failing making charging suck...I love this headset minus the cutting out tho price wise there is something beating it in that field and I wish I read some reviews that said this

We have three children and one adult that are non stop gamers. This replacement plan for controllers is a must have for the avid gamer. Geek squad promptly replaced a controller that had badly used thumb sticks that weren’t responding well to games. Had a new controller in hand and back to gaming, will have geek squad plan on ALL controllers moving forward. Great 2yr plan for my needs that I actually use verses other insurance plans that go unused

The Geek Squad installed my Surround Sound System which included a 65” VISIO TV & VISIO SmartCast 5.1 Channel Sound Bar With 5-1/4” Wireless Subwoofer & VISIO 4K Blu-Ray HDR,UHD Player They were Patient and Very Explanatory. They answered all our questions. And didn’t leave until we were satisfied with there installation and our ability to Operate it.

The Geek Squad Product Replacement Plan is a good thing to have for certain products. I have purchased it for numerous products including gaming consoles, televisions, audio equipment, and headphones. Not all products fail, however, they definitely can and in my experience have. I have always been satisfied with the Geek Squad product Replacement plans and replacements have been prompt and seamless with no hassles.

I bought Geek Squad Protection on a set of headphones. The mic stopped working around 4 months later. So I brought them back to the store and had a gift card for the full price of the headphones about 4 minutes later! Awesome! Contrast this with a set that did not have Geek Squad Protection -- it took the manufacturer 3 weeks to troubleshoot and put the replacement set in the mail. Totally worth the $20 for GSP!

So like every other consumer I always say NO to protection plans but I thought let me give it a try. Best thing I could have done. A year has passed and my controller has stoped working twice! and both time I made a no more than 5 min trip to my local best buy. Literaly walked in the store picked a new controller from the shelve, stood in a 2 min or less line in customer service, handed the agent my old controlller, receipt and boom* I was done! New controller on hand and the best part had to pay absolutely nothing.

I bought this for my Xbox Elite Series 2 controller when it came out due to an issue I had with the previous model. I ended up having to use it about 8 months later (after the manufacturer warranty expired). The process of exchanging my broken controller and getting the new one was great and I didn't get any hassle from anyone at Best Buy. I normally avoid Geek Squad protection plans, but in this case I'm so glad that I did.

I love that you your gift squad product replacement plans. I purchased them anytime I buy electronics for my son’s PlayStation five. They have been great warrantees in the past. There’s no deductible and you can exchange for a new product right in the store without having to return anything and it’s hassle free

I buy a Best Buy Protection Plan on nearly everything I can! There is no registering when you have a Best Buy Rewards account. It is so easy to get your replacement product. Simply walk in the store, request your replacement, they look it up to verify, you go get your new product off the shelf, check out, and you are on your way. I will never buy another controller or device from the big blue evil again.

Got this for the gamer headset for my 15 yr old son. Love how it covers everything from accidental to defective. Had it on the old one I bought him a couple years ago and before the replacement policy was up it started having problems connecting to the controller. My husband went in with the old headset and they literally gave him full credit for my old headset and was able to get brand new ones.

I definitely recommend getting a protection/replacement plan for your items. Bought this for an Xbox elite controller, a few months down the line my husband was having problems, we took it to Best Buy to get it fixed. Unfortunately they didn’t have any in stock to replace it and a repair would take longer than expected but they gave us a full credit of what we paid and we used the Credit towards Other items.

I normally do not purchase the product replacement but as a last minute Christmas gift, I grabbed a gaming headset and controller deal and added the replacement option.
We did end up having to have the controller replaced and I was unable to get to the store. I called in and they let my oldest son run in and do the exchange.
The process was simple and fast. The store was able to replace and had to upgrade because the product was not available any longer.
Very easy experience.

I bought a spare controller for my PS4 so one was always charged. I had been looking at stepping up the quality of the controller by buying a first person controller designed with a couple extra buttons underneath. During my research I read the joysticks on PS4 controller sticks were prone to failure if you played a lot. So I bought the warranty....I have paid full price for the controller only once out of the three times I've taken it back. The two were only $20... the price of the warranty.
