I have not had to use them yet. But 30 dollars for 1yr protection seemed decent to me when I bought my tablet. Just to be on the safe side lol

It works well but it makes a sound constantly like it is restarting itself. Also trouble downloading things to my kindle store at times.

When I purchased my tablet I was talked into the purchase of a 1 year extended warranty. I was informed that it would cover accidental damage to the tablet, including should it crack due to accidentally being dropped. Well I accidentally dropped the tablet and the tablet case cracked. I took it in to the local store and was told it would need to be sent out for repair to replacement. I chose the option to pick it up at the store upon repair. A couple of days I received it returned to me at home without any repair. I was subsequently informed the it would not be repaired as the cracked case did not appear to affect the tablet performance.

I love the additional protection plan provided by Geek Squad. It is additional protection outside of the manufacturer's warranty.

My warranty expired during peak COVID time last year and they were doing appointments only which were three months out and were saying it would take minimum of two weeks to get a new product after said appointment. As a college student that was forced to switch to online for the past year I haven’t had the luxury of not needing my laptop for more then two weeks. They are refusing to do anything for me even though I originally made an appointment during my warranty time. What is the point of buying a warranty for something if a virus is going to keep me from using it? Waste of time and money.

I purchased the Geek Squad 2-year protection plan for a Microsoft Surface Pro. The charger cable broke. Geek Squad told me the cable is not covered under the plan. A plan should cover the entire tablet, including the power charger. That is deceptive advertising. I will never purchase another Geek Squad plan. I will never use Geek Squad again. Also, I requested protection plan documentation. They said it would take 2 hours to email it to me. 2 hours! Not a very high-tech squad.

Glad I got the warranty. I bought a gaming laptop for my son. Been in the repair shop more then he has enjoyed using it...would of cost me a lot if I didn't have the geek squad

I will be better able to review this protection if I have to use it. It’s good insurance to have for peace of mind since It covers my first portable tablet.

I find it necessary when buying for my young son. But it seems the price for coverage didn't diminish but it did go from 3 years down to 2 years maximum.

I purchased the Geek Sqaud accidental policy for my Samsung Tab S3. The stylus tip broke. I went to Best Buy to get a new one through the insurance I purchased. The technicians couldn't find the stylus in their system. Got the run around. Service was terrible to say the least. I now have to spend $60 to buy a stylus. So what a great business model. Sell a policy, don't maintain any of the accessories (that you say are covered) in your system, so when a customer comes in you can throw your hands up in the air and say "I can't find it." That way you don't have to honor anything.
