Works well and quickly. Once you get the trick and use ice cold water you get solid ice cubes and love the size of the cubes. Def would buy again.

This ice maker is perfect for my needs. I live in an apartment and the fridge does not have an ice maker. My counter space is also limited but this little gadget doesn't take up much room and the black matches my black appliances. I use this ice maker over the weekends to make bags of ice to get me by during my week of smoothie making. Love how it recycles the melted water!

This ice maker is great for the money. It makes 9 ice cubes every 6 minutes and keeps up with having a decent sized party. Everyone that sees it wants it.

We bought a 4-door Samsung showcase refrigerator about 4 months ago. It's great with one exception: it has the world' smallest ice maker. Anything more than 4 beverages and you're out of ice. Enter the insignia ice maker. What a great buy!! Quick, easy, and makes a ton of ice. If you entertain, this is the appliance to have. Yes, most of you will say, "why buy this versus a bag of ice?" Good question. Do you always plan in advance? If not, this keeps the party going without having to stop and head out to buy ice. We will definitely keep this appliance handy.

This small ice machine has saved me many trips of running to the store to get a bag or 2. I use a lot of ice and love having this maker. It's super convenient and my ice container in the freezer is always full. I find that it is better to start with cold water from the fridge to get good sized cubes otherwise it takes a few cycles to get the full size cube 'cause they start out smaller, especially if you let water sit and it gets to room temperature. It's easy to clean and drain unused water.

Pros: Makes ice quickly Cons: Sometimes noisy. It also asks to refill the water when there is already water inside which is annoying.

For the money it can't be beat this is my second one my sister loved it so I bought her one she is happy with hers mine still works flawlessly

I find that the best way to use this machine is to make the ice the day before a party or event and then store it in sandwich bags in the freezer. It makes a decent amount of ice very quickly. You can make a batch of ice cubes from scratch faster than you can chill a can in the fridge. This is not a commercial machine. Do not buy it if you want to leave it on the counter constantly running and storing ice. That is does not do well. It's just a good, small volume home unit.

It does exactly what it is supposed to do, not much to say. The only bad thing: I assumed it would make the ice then keep it cold, but it does not. After doing a little more research, I discovered that this is common for small portable ice machines, so I just throw the extra into the freezer. It makes 8 little tubes every few minutes, and you can choose a small or large ice size. This would be super handy to fill a cooler for a camping trip or a day at the beach.
