This is fine for someone who isn't very picky about picture quality. It does tune in some channels without cable so that was nice. Picture quality is very average.

The t.v. has a clear picture and is not distorted from the sides or looking up at the t.v. from a sitting position below it.

For the price, I did not expect to get theater audio. The audio is very tinny and the level control has very little variation. My 24" Insignia has much better audio than the new 28" TV. When changing channels via keypad on remote, the delay is longer than any other I have used. The video is very acceptable and I am impressed with the video of the DVD player.
If the poor audio and the long delay in channel switching is not a concern, then I would recommend this TV. If sound and channel switching is a concern, then look else where. I personally would not purchase this TV again.

We got this to use in our camper and it worked great!. Small enough to fit, but still a good picture. The built-in DVD player was what sold us on this unit. The sound was a bit soft and we had to turn up the volume more than we felt we should. Overall, a great buy for what we needed.

We bought this tv awhile ago, at least two years or maybe more? I just wanted to update my previous review to say we are completely pleased with this purchase. We figured it was such a good deal that even if it didn't last it was worth the price. We use it in a bathroom so it's not continual use but it is used every day. It has had ZERO issues and we are very happy with it. Go for it....it's a GREAT deal and a good product!

I bought the TV on Sunday 9/27/15, and was able to set it up without problem. I have a rooftop antenna, and the set scanned for channels. My favorite channels were available, and I watched them without problem for three days. Yesterday, the set dropped my favorite channel, which is Maryland Public Television. The small TV upstairs, attached to the same antenna, picks up MPT without any problem. In addition, when I enter a specific channel number into the remote, the channel will not change. The only way to move from channel to channel is to scroll through all of the channels. The only good thing about this TV is that the picture quality is good and it is very lightweight. The sound is okay, but not as good as my old analog Toshiba. I haven't tried the DVD player. Unfortunately, I have already recycled the box, or I would be returning this TV.

In the event the signal strength fades, the TV may remove those channels from the memory. In that event, you can adjust the antennae and rerun the channel scan to get better signal strength from the preferred stations. Another option is to look at upgrading to a amplified antennae as that will usually result in increased reception strength. Jon, Insignia Support

Nice TV Bad DVD player

I bought this new 28 Insignia with a DVD player built in. The TV worked great but the DVD didn't.. If there was a slight mark on the DVD the player would lock up or eject the DVD. The same DVD's that played fine on my computer or my regular player. So I took it back and they talked me into trading it for a display model, saying I just got a bad one. . The display model had no box but was still new. I saved $50.00 on it so I figured why not. But now this one is doing the same thing so I am taking it back too. I think the DVD player in this model is too picky of the kind of DVD's it will read. I find that I still have to use my auxiliary player with this model, so I will buy a 28 TV only and use the player I already have.

If you are still within 15 days of purchase, Best Buy does have a Return/Exchange period which it sounds like you have taken advantage of. They do also handle any warranty reviews within the 1 year manufacturer warranty through the Geek Squad desk as well in the event it is actually a fault within the DVD component. – Jon, Insignia Support
