Sometimes it is difficult to buy an item like this one (a TV stand for a TV being purchased at the same time) without being able to actually see it, but in this case, it turned out to be a good decision. The stand is well-made; relatively easy to assemble; the TV mounted well, and it all looks very nice. Even our cats enjoy it! (YouTube birdwatching videos).

We shopped around 2 weeks for the right entertainment center but we ended up with this tv stand. We liked it because its not too low to the floor, looks modern, steardy, and enough shelving, and nice extra features. It was easy to assemble. Wood trim looks good. We hung a 46 inch lcd tv and it holds it just fine. The down side its a beautiful black glass but it looks really dusty real quick, a bit pricy but worth it there is cheaper options but you get what you pay for and this one would of been great at 199.99.

This is one of my favorite pieces of furniture in my home! We love how it swivels so its accessible to everyone in the living room no matter where they are. Everyone who has seen it loves the mix of glass, wood and metal. It is easy to clean and the tv is attached very well..it has stood up against my 2, 6, and 12 year olds so I'm confident it's not going anywhere :)

Offered this a "good" rating because we needed to return it. Reason: this unit would not support the 55" LCD/LED TV for which we purchased it. While we had read reviews that others have placed larger TVs on this unit, we were concerned that it would not correctly support our LG. On the recommendation of the Whalen rep, we partially assembled the unit to the point where we could see where the support brackets would be placed. Found the brackets would not be centered on the TV. Read that others had difficulty with TVs tilting forward. Could see how this would happen if an oversized TV were mounted. Would basically advise that one follow the recommendations for appropriate fit. The BB associate informed us that it would probably fit. We were skeptical, but took it anyway because it was the last unit in the store and we wanted to get our TV mounted. After calling both Whalen and LG support decided to return the unit because had anything happened, it would have been outside the specifications recommended and likely would not have been covered by warranty. Went to a different BestBuy in our area and they did an exchange for a Bell'O 3-in-1 that could support the LG and it worked fine. This unit would have worked well for a TV within its size specifications. It was solid and stable, affordable, easy to assemble following the instructions. Would recommend it. Might have rated it excellent had we kept it, but cannot really address all the product rating elements.

Some nice features on this unit. It looks stylish and is very sturdy! Displays my TV well and everything else I need is right at my fingertips. I am am enjoying my purchase.

High Quality piece of furniture. Very sturdy and once together the product is very good to look at. Holds up to a 55 inch television. Very spacious stand with plenty of room for multiple devices.

Great stand and provides more than enough space for all home theater equipment. It also comes with a few extras like an organizer and a mini dvd rack.

It is a great product if you were sitting low. I wish I could set up the TV on the post a bit higher than the way it allows me to set it up. One thing I do like is that the TV, a 50" H6400 Samsung model, can be rotated almost 20 degree both sideways. What's more, I am able to place a few things like xb360, ps3, cable box, Nintendo Wii, and a future ps4 without too much problem. I like this stand because all the devices mentioned above have plenty of air flow around them, something I didn't have before, and that it is very important to keep cool all my game consoles, and possible my future AV Denon Receiver.

I did my research to buy the one that fits my room, and it looks fantastic. The shine on the wood, glass, and the swivel to adjust the view.

Assembly not the easiest, but once its complete its a great looking stand and works well.

I got this Whalen TV stand 3 weeks ago when it came on sale. Assembled with the help of my school kid. The assembly demo on the BestBuy site was very useful. I mounted the 55" TV on the pole(spine) came with it. My TV is a little bit bigger than the stand designed for . But not that bad. Anyway it is decent and stable stand. My only advisee to the Whalen is to give a little more sign on the glass ("This side UP" for the side not painted) so the assembler will NOT put the painted side up.

I got a discount on the item, so that makes it good, but it satisfies the criteria I had for a tv stand. I wanted a TV mount, but didn't want to put one on the wall. The TV mount is attached to the tv stand and even has an extra shelf to put a speaker or, like I have, the Kinect for the Xbox One. Works perfect for my needs.

love the space it gives me for all the audio equipment and a way to hide all the cords

We bought a 55 inch Vizio and bought this stand at the same time because we have an older house with plaster walls and mounting the TV to the wall didn't really seam like the best option. So after looking around at some of the different options, we settled on this one. And it's worked out perfect. It was easy to put together and it looks great in our living room. It's a bit big, but not overwhelmingly. The space on the shelves is great for receivers and game systems. The back mount works fantastic and the swivel option has come in really handy. Very glad we purchased this stand for our tv.

I like the dark wood trim & the dark tempered glass shelves. It gives it a rich look. Seems sturdy. The reason I bought it was for the swivel & tilt feature on the mount for the TV. As a result I can watch TV from any place in my room.

The entertainment center was not the easiest to put together, but it's very sturdy and the different options to hold the tv are great.

This is a nice product, heavy and solidly built. Not to tough to put together. Plenty of space on shelves for components.

I purchased a 55" TV and my old stand couldn't support the TV. The installer and I worked together and came up with this stand to replace the old one. I love the fact that the TV is mounted and it can swivel so everyone in the room can watch it.
