    Never again will I buy a product, at least an appliance without getting the warranty as far as I know and from what they explain to me if something happens to it anything at all, they either fix it and if they can’t fix it, they replace it very simple. I got the five year warranty, I didn’t get it on my last product and I had to go through the manufacture and it was a pain in the butt and I’m never doing that again when it comes to major appliances I strongly suggest you get the warranty now thank God I haven’t had to use it yet because I just bought it but if I do happen to use it and it’s not what it supposed to be, I will update this but as long as you see nothing updated consider the fact that either my product is working great or something happened to the product and the warranty covered it perfectly ! Ty!

    We purchased this refrigerator because my mother-in-law had one, and we loved it. We had a Samsung, but was not impressed. This refrigerator is very quiet and efficient. It keeps my vegetables, fresher, longer. It does stick out about 8 to 10 in.² past the countertop, but where we have ours, it doesn’t matter. It was very quick to cool down upon delivery and we have not had a problem with it whatsoever. We love this refrigerator and we would recommend it to anybody. The bonus was it was on sale, as well. Great product all around.

    It's only been 2 weeks since buying the appliance so I haven't needed to use this yet and hopefully I never do. Compared to other protection plans I've purchased from other retailers, this one is worth the money. Overall I've found Geek Squad to be exceptional in service and knowledge.

    Bought the store brand Insignia 20.5 cu ft fridge in stainless steel and within a year the shelves started breaking. Spent 3 days attempting to remedy situation through extended 5 year warranty purchased. Was told damage is difficult to prove or disprove and that an appt to have a technician come out to my house would be necessary to determine if shelf was indeed broken and whether it could be fixed or needed replaced. I had brought the broken Insignia refrigerator shelf in to the store with me. I asked if he was saying the only course of action I had was to take the broken shelf back to my house, try to reinstall it and then schedule an appt with a tech to come to my house to make the determination that it was broken and he said that my understanding was correct. He said it was corporate policy which he had no hand in creating but must abide by . I asked where the "fix it" techs work out of. He said the stores but there was no way for customers or fellow employees to contact them when in store and directed me to contact their main 'help" line. Since I had already spent 2 days trying to get help through the online chat function which led me to be told to bring the shelf into a store to get service only to be told by this Geek Squad employee that their helpline employees were incorrect and now on day 3 of trying to get a workable fridge main shelf I needed to go call the helpline again. I told him I was reluctant to do so as I was already 3 days in and the helpline had sent me to him and he was trying to send me back. I asked for contact information so I could discuss my experience and how their corporate policy effected me and he again gave me the help line telephone number and said that there were no addresses or emails that customers could access or be given, that it was corporate policy that he had no control over because he just worked there. Why even bother? With poor quality products and poor design backed up by the Geek Squad who refuses service and employees who simply can't or won't be autonomous or attempt to actually remedy a situation, why even bother? Spend your money elsewhere, somewhere you and your money is valued and appreciated.

    The best buy/geek squad warranty is money so well spent. It's worth every penny to deal with them versus the manufacturer if you have an issue.

    Previously purchased all kitchen appliances from another store that did not honor expensive warranty. We now only purchase appliances from Best Buy due to Geek Squad services which have been wonderful! A refrigerator was delivered making noise due to a bad compressor and it was removed and a new appliance delivered the next day.

    Don't waste your money

    We purchased this expecting a 3 year warranty past the manufacturers 1 year warranty. That wasn't what happened the purchase date was 12/12/18 and the paperwork says expires 1/11/22 not 12/12/22. Then when we started having a problem we didn't have time to call right away so we called 12/15/22 (just 3 days we thought past what should have been the end of our plan). Neverless we we called and was told that even if it we still had coverage that we would have to pay a $100 diagnostics charge and then only the parts are covered NO LABOR (which they could make that whatever they want). We would have saved $58.98 if we had known better and applied that towards another $400 fridge when it croaks.

    Have not had to use this plan yet but feel it was a Great decision to purchase this plan .Thanks Best Buy your Home Delivery was very helpful and friendly I know the Geek Squad will be just as efficient if ever needed !
