Worst transfer of bluray waste of money. I have older movies that was beautifully transferred to bluray, this movie was made 2007 and the bluray is TOO GRAINY. I also have a DVD copy of this, and is of much better quality.

It was a bad attempt to try and live up to the previous movie. The 1st movie was close to history. This movie was close to nothing. So much more they could have done with this movie from this time period.

This movie is ok, I'm just not personally into a lot of battle scenes with lots of blood, over acting. Slow mo and it's dark, much like batman movies. I would not recommend it.

After multiple purchases I finally gave up could never get one where the steelbook wasn’t scratched or dented in some manner. I ended up not owning one because it finally sold out without me ever getting a proper mint one which was really frustrating. Oh well nothing is ever guaranteed to have a perfect resolution 100% of the time.

I bought this only because my son wanted it. I would NEVER have bought it otherwise. It is easily one of the most inane ridiculous and rotten movies ever made. And this is from someone who LOVES bad movies. This is unwatchable. I know there are people who love this movie (my son likes it) but I am not one of them. I gave it one star because I hate to give anything NO stars...but this came close.

Animation and narration scenes did not leave a memorable impression.

Movie is 5 stars. One star for bestbuy shipping steelbooks using bubble envelopes. Got another dented and damaged steel, returned!!! When will they learn and use boxes????

This is a fantastic movie, my wife and I loved it! We're huge fans of Frank Miller (Sin City, The Spirit), and it was directed by Zach Snyder (Dawn of the Dead). This movie is based off of a graphic novel which is a fantasy take on the real battle of Thermopylae. It's part fact part fiction. The imagery in this film is amazing! This movie is action packed and very intense. There's not a whole lot I can say, that hasn't already been said. Everyone I know loves this movie. If you haven't seen it yet, you're missing out on a very exciting and very artistic film. My only complaint was that I thought they went a little overboard at times with the slow motion sequences, but I know they did it for the artistic value of the film. Aside from that, I highly recommend it! Also from Frank Miller, I recommend Sin City and The Spirit.

Movie is based on Frank Millers graphic novel 300, this movie has it all, great action and a very graphic novel look to it, the movie goes more for the tale of the 300 spartans last stand, than historical fact, but movies are for entertainment than making sure it got every historical fact right, when I seen 300 at the theatre I never looked at my watch, the time went fast, other than being somewhat slowed down by the sidestory with the Spartan queen. I would recommend this movie, if your a fan of action movies or even good war movies, this will fit the bill, Zack Synder did a wonderful job directing this movie, and the battle scenes are simply amazing, and the CGI is not overdone, it blends in nicely with the live characters and story, the movie does have graphic scenes of violence and some nudity and adult themes, Rated R, I wouldn't recommend kids being able to watch this. I have the regular edition DVD, with just the commentary and trailer, if you want more info on the movie and features I would recommend the special edition.

This is one of the best movies I've ever seen. If you were not pumped after this flick, you better check your pulse. The video quality on Blu-ray via PS3 (HDMI) was exactly like being at the movie. I have heard people complain that the Blu-ray version is "grainy." Well, I saw the digital theater version and the Blu-ray version looks exactly the same. For anyone who has been under a rock, this movie is very graphic and has some brutal scenes. Most guys will love this movie. The ladies may like it for the buff guys in their underwear, I guess. Xerxes still freaks me out. With the hands on the King's back and all of the talk about kneeling in front of him. I'm not sure what that guy is all about. Disadvantage: Payton Manning's SNL skit always pops in my head when I watch the movie. I keep seeing him "throwing the rock." Anyway...I highly recommend!

Frank Miller's graphic novel is brought to the screen in beautiful form with 300. With highly-stylized environments and fight sequences, the film really plays as a graphic novel brought to life. The world of 300 is vivid and at times purely awesome, and the action does not disappoint, with slow motion effects and gritty battles. The performances are well done, but one thing that bothered me personally was the Scottish accent of the actor portraying Leonides. It is not so heavy, however, to distract from the film, but is noticeable enough to stand out a bit. The narration is nicely done and the soundtrack is great, adding dimension to the film as a whole. The extras DVD could stand a bit more features than what is included, but in all is an interesting addition. I highly recommend this film.

this movie revolves around the 300 troops that held off one of the largest forces of its day. it is a high action movie with excellent music with a hard beat during fight scenes. also the narration during some of the movie is great as well. i rank this up there with braveheart and gladiator. the movie is great, action packed and even has some scenes revolving the main characters wife who is betrayed by someone in power that leads to why the story ends the way it does. it does have some scenes a little out there such as the spirit scene (which i am not familiar with the term they used for it, but basically they had to get the "gods"approval to go to war. over all a great movie, if you havent seen it buy it, its worth it for action fans who love the mid-evil type era.

This movie is awesome! I first watched in the theaters and was WOWED with visual effects of the action scenes. I bought it on dvd and played it on my bluray player which upconverts dvds. The battles in the movie are stunning to look at and made me jump out of my seat. I loved the part where King Leonidas was on a killing rampage played in slow motion which was awesome and made it very dramatic. Another part that I loved is when the "immortals" were approaching and the Spartans were waiting behind the pile of bodies; then the Spartans did a surprise attack on them and the battle was on. The battle was amazing, intense, and was visually appealing. In my opinion these were the parts that made the movie worth watching. I enjoyed the movie and its very entertaining.

This is possible the greatest historical fiction/nonfiction/retelling ever! The battle of Thermopylae is regarded as the greatest battle in history even if it ended in the failure of the Spartans. The Spartans were also regarded as the greatest soldiers the world has ever known even though they lost. The movie is incredibly beautiful and its story telling is mind blowing. Leonidas's 300 warriors and 2800 from other parts for Greece held off the "1000 armies of the Persian Empire!!" which totaled over 2 million men strong. The movie was full of coin-able phrases that we have all probably heard a million times by now. It also had many slow motion sequences and special effects at every turn. Overall the movie is a culmination of all that is awesome in Hollywood and History.

The story might not be completely factual (if that matters to anyone), but the movie looked amazing in IMAX in theaters, and it looks amazing on Blu-ray too. There are plenty of extras as well. So if anyone wants a high-def movie that's entertaining and looks amazing, pick up 300 right away!
