This was such an amazing, I went to go see this in opening night with a couple friends and it left me wanting more and more. The Special Edition isnt all that great but this is about the movie not the features. If u like bloody, gory movies then this is it.

Everyone knows the story of the three hundred at Thermopylae, so I'll skip to the features. I bought this to be used on the PS3 with HD cables and the quality versus standard DVD is impressive. The colors are vibrant and bold, and the sharpness of each image is precise. The in-movie menu is easily accessible and navigable, ibcluding features on the training regimen and the actors. I recommend this title and have yet to be disappointed with Blu-Ray.

Great plot, plenty of violent battles, and outstanding picture and sound w/ the BluRay discs. Avoid this movie if you didn't like Brave Heart, Rome, and or Sin City. A great way to spend a couple hrs imo.

300 is one of the best war movies i have seen. The movie has non-stop fighting and action. The actors are great, especially the characer of Leonitus. Ending is somewhat dissapointing but picks up at the end. Great movie if you love fighting and a little gore. Also sounds great in surround sound. Great movie.

This is a phenominal movie. The attention to detail and the special effects are what set this movie apart from others like it. It has a lot of action in it and has no dull points in my opionion. Not a great movie for younger kids due to the blood and gore. Overall, it is a great movie and is a must buy.

This may be the best action movie of all time, when movies can go beyond the physical limitations of sets and locations and totally give themselves over to virtual environments magic can happen. Hopefully this movie opens the eyes of a lot of directors to what is truly possible out of film making today.

I would not use 300 as a representative historical documentary (rather far from it), but it stays loyal to its roots--the comic book series it was based upon. Its action sequences are amazing. Blood falls and victims are slain as if part of a dance. This is a great addition to any movie collection.

I infer that most people know by now that you don't see a Hollywood flick for historical accuracy. However, I will say that some movies do make you go, "I wonder if that really happened or not?" For example, movies like Braveheart or Gladiator make you wonder if those movies had any sort of historical accuracy to them. Sadly enough, the answer is usually "historically false." With 300, most people who are familiar with Frank Miller's work understand that his work is based on creative art rather than historical accuracy. Even Miller himself argues that the movie 300 was produced to get a sense of his vision of the infamous battle with the Persians in an artistic sense. Is the movie entertaining? I absolutely think so. However, when I attempted to re-watch 300, I realize that outside of the spectacular cinematography and acting; the over exaggerated monsters and costumes made 300 too cartoonish for my liking. Even Miller's Sin City seemed more realistic in the way it was portrayed even though Sin City was filmed with more comic like cinematography. My feelings after watching 300 for the second time gave me a sense of emptiness. Sort of like....."that's it?"

See this movie! Great acting and cinematography! The plot plays out at a fast action pace, with political twists that could be as relevent to todays battles of one party against another for control and power. Many realistic fight sceens. Get this one for your collection!!

I've seen this movie a total of 4 times so far and with each viewing I'm more impressed. The CGI graphics are by far the best I've seen in any movie other then Beowulf, the acting I personally think was done pretty decently, and the action scenes are not something to miss.

I first watch this movie at the theater midnight release, I thought i was great. But when I bought the Blu Ray version of 300 is way even better, specially the grapics and sound. I would highly recommend this movie. This type of movie I can watch over and over.

I recently purchase this movie at best buy last week on sale. Well from my point of view this one great movies, i seen it in theaters before but watching it on Blu ray is even better. So far I watch it 2 times in the row. King Leonidas as Gerard Butler played a very good role the was perfect for this movie. A good movie about the Spartans. I highly recommend this movie.

From the same person that brought you Sin City, Frank Miller brings another classic action pack movie. I go to the movies on a regular and this movie has made other movies look very dull. 300 could be the Best Action Movie of 2007 or Best Movie of the Year.

Ridley Scott did produce this movie and he is the same person who did Sin City and both of those movies (300 and Sin City) are great movies and the special effects in both of those movies are very good and 300 is just worst seeing for t6he special effects.

This movie is the most visually stunning piece of work I've seen thus far. Although some may argue that the plot was undeveloped, but an adaptation of a best selling graphic novel that's this good the plot couldn't be that off... All men should own this.

You know, I'm not really big on the war(ish) movies--but, man oh man, this one has it all! Amazing acting--even better visual effects--it just leaves NOTHING to be desired. We bough this dvd the day it came out, and have watched it many times since then

I honestly didnt know what to expect when I put this dvd in the first time. I just kept hearing that I "had to see it". Amazing. Easily one of the most visually amazing pictures I have ever seen. Great story and characters as well. I highly recommend!

I recently bought this movie not thinking that it was going to be all that good. Boy was i wrong, I enjoyed the whole movie. I most definitely recomend this movie. The visual efects are execellent. The story in it's self is interesting enough.

This movie is mostly for the guys, as the movie is mostly made up of fighting/nude scenes. The environment is fully CGI animated, and it is very well done, and looks amazing in blu ray. Highly recommended to fans of fighting/action movies.

This movie was fun to watch. The CGI was amazing and the acting was top notch (although the ascents seemed weird). This is a very close adaptation of Frank Miller's graphic novel, would a few things added to make the story more fleshed out. The DVD is great, although I'd recommend the HD version more, so you can see the movie in it's full glory.
