This is a interesting story. Though some say it is not true to history, it is well written and acted. The grain in the movie was INTENTIONAL !

This is a great movie. The action is lively, the visuals are stunning. However, this 2-disc special edition was a dissapointment. The special features were weak and not very long. These features hardly warranted another disc (they could have been easily put on the regular edition.) If you're going to buy this movie (and you should), go with the cheaper regular version. Don't waste your money on this not-so-special edition.

300 is the best action film of 2007 and Frank Miller best movie ever.

This movie is tough and gritty. Great cast and wars.

Cinematic flexibility with historical accuracy has been a hallmark of the film indistry for as long as I can remember. However, most of the storyline in '300' is just patently false and racist (to put it delicately). The Spartans were perhaps one of the most undemocratic societies of their times. As the reviewer of the film noted, ideology and the overt politicization of the film detract heavily from it strengths. The depiction of the Persians cannot be called anything but racist. Monsters and half-humans are easy to hate and root against. Films inherently necessitate a degree of editorial and artistic imagination. The historical imaginary of this film and its laughable and ethnicized portrayal of the Persians renders it no different than its erstwhile incarnation as a comic book. Can anyone say "Alexander?'

Great action flick. not for faint of heart. Highly recommend.

Nice popcorn flick. Still prefer the old "300 Spartans", but this was an action packed flick that holds up to the graphic novel style of film making like "Sin City."
