Visually stunning but an overall huge disappointment! I was so excited to watch this for the first time and expected to be blown away, however after it ended i felt cheated and was greatful that it was actually over. I've read mixed reviews myself on this and can't see the other side other than the cinematography was amazing, but that doesn't make a movie for me, there has to be more for me to give this a better rating and it simply doesn't exist.

good gift idea for boys, monotone coloring throughout movie

I saw great pictures and hear great sounds. But what else? It is supposed to be a historic movie but all I saw is a extremely distorted history. Besides, the picture is really bloody and it is not a proper movie for family.

typical action movie. they say things like this is sparta. lots of people die but it is not that bloody. ive seen better

I will always give a movie 30 minutes to catch my attention, no matter how badly it starts out. Well, this one froze up around the 30 minute mark so that saved me the trouble of explaining to my old lady that it is a horrible film and I did not care to finish it. The story itself is good; the movie is just bad. Don't let the Sin City tie-in trick you.

After viewing "300" for second time on DVD, this has to be one of the most over-rated pictures in the past 5 years. Acting is horrid, story is a pure rip-off of "Gladiator", and the visuals are are so over generated with CGI effects, it comes out so grainy, that all is lost in looking at a pure waste of time and money.

'300' is actually one of the worst movies I've ever seen. Had I not been with a group of friends at the theater, I would have walked out within the first 30 minutes of the film. Don't bother with this pathetic piece of junk.

this Pan & Scan version alters the original theatrical aspect ratio of the movie from 2.35:1 to 1.33:1, presenting a picture in which you lose almost 50% of the image on each side in every frame.

Leonidas.....his beard gets annoying his face gets annoying,he just gets annoying. but this movie was a terrible waste of 20 dollas dont buy it unless you like Leonidas' face
