If you own a Solo better stock up as 3DR is getting out of the commercial drone business. With Best buy having special prices on the solo smart batteries get as many as you can. The smart batteries charge and discharge the batteries as needed to prolong the life of the batteries.

This battery holds a charge when not in use, and also gives the drone 18-20 minutes of flight time. The battery takes about an hour and a half to fully charge. It is sleek and fits the design of the drone perfectly.

This battery gives the Solo almost twice the battery life of my Parrot Bebop. Over 20 minutes of flight time.

for most of the products I buy I make sure I have as many charging or power options as possible. This is not possible with the SOLO from 3DR, the quad copter requires this battery... no choice. It would be an issue if the battery didn't meet the claims, but it does. It performs as both explained and expected feeding the SOLO with the right amount of energy as it needs, when it needs it.

Great. Easy to use. Fast charging. Compact. Just wish it charge lasted longer.

I received this battery for free when I purchased the Solo so I have no complaints about this product whatsoever. An extra battery is a must for drones in general as their flight times are very limited (15-25 min). It only takes a couple hours to charge and it has easy to see LED status lights on the outside so you know when you're ready to fly. I may even consider buying another!

This is an extra battery for the 3DR Solo. Not a whole bunch you can say about a battery, the only one that fits the Solo, but that I haven't had any problems with it, and it seems to keep a charge. Good battery. I imagine in the future the battery could be made lighter so that the Solo could fly longer. This battery is heavy like a brick.

Once you get hooked on flying the only way to get satisfaction is to be in the air! Extra batteries make this a reality! With fifteen to twenty minute standard fight times extra batteries allow the pilot longer one on one time with their quad. I only bought one extra, but will be purchasing more just to meet my needs.

This battery is excellent. Fly time is between 20-25 minutes per charge. Definitely need atleast two batteries. When I walked in best buy and grabbed my solo, BB gave me a free extra battery with it! The design is great and it even has led indicators on the back to show you how much battery you have remaining!

Trust me when I tell you to purchase another battery, I get around 20 minutes flight time depending on how I use the drone but you should definitely get a backup so you don't have to worry about flight time. Having two batteries is ample amount of time to test your shot and then go get it.

I bought my drone, and although it can fly 20 minutes off a fully charged battery, buying a 2nd battery was one of the best decisions I could make. My fly time has drastically increased and I'm even considering buying another one!

If you have a drone, you know the flight time on each battery is between 20 and 30 minutes. You can't have enough additional batteries to keep the fun going. One isn't enough, you need two to three extras. The recharge time isn't speedy, so add an additional charger to your list.

you need more than one battery to enjoy the solo. I have 3 extra so far and when I go and shoot at a remote location I end up still wanting more flights, but 3 is a good amount. helps since now the gimball is powering the go pro to full charge constantly

Battery is a smart battery so the charge level is communicated to the controller for you to monitor. It's a great product and I recommend buying atleast one in addition to the one that comes with the solo to you don't have any down time. No problems.

Since the Solo Drone batteries only last about 20 minutes or so flying time once fully charged, it makes sense to spend the money and buy a few back-ups. This one is just what I expected and holds the advertised amount of charge time-wise.

This review is for the battery only, written without a gimbal available. The finish is nice and the flight times are fairly accurate. I don't think I've ever reached 25 minutes, but without a gimbal, I'm taxing the solo pretty well.

I have two extra batteries on top of the one that came with the solo. Work great and give you extra fly time. Smart battery that displays battery level so you know when to charge before you take your bird out. Stock up!

Battery packs are well-designed. Charging is easy and reasonably quick. Status lights let you know the state of charge. You really need an extra battery if you want to fly more than 15-20 minutes.

The Solo package I got came with the original battery and a secondary battery. I highly recommend purchasing a few batteries if you want to fly for a good amount of time. Having multiple batteries makes it easier to practice flying because you have more air time and don't need to worry about running out of juice. My batteries get between 15-20 min per flight depending on what I'm doing. Right now they are on sale for $35 so I grabbed two more!

Solid! Average about 20 mins of flight time per charge but I don't run it down to less than 10%. Buy this spare battery so you can have a little more fun! Fly safe and courteous! #fly3dr
