We are very pleased with our Insignia television. The controls are easy, and the remote is not one of those ones that are as complicated as a scientific calculator. The picture is clear, and the colors are vibrant. It was easy to install with the bracket.

The volume icon makes this TV worth every penny!

So far the positives for this TV are as follows: 1.) A wonderfully sized and positioned volume icon/animation on the screen which is a huge pet peeve of mine. If you turn up the volume then you shouldn't be forced to miss everything on the screen with some oversized and obnoxious icon/animation in the middle, bottom or top of the screen like most TV's. This right here pushed it from 4-5 stars for me because I am human, have my own opinion, and like watching the TV not the volume being turned up. 2.) Simple to set up. 3.) A nice clear picture. 4.) An adorably tiny remote. 5.) The price was what we were looking to spend and due to the cost we were able to get the 2yr Geek Squad plan which was extremely important as the reason we were there was because of a TV that ended up being great for a year and then garbage with zero customer support after. Ok the negatives: 1.) The stand is definitely shaky and hopefully the acrobatics in the living room won't force me to deface the walls of the property we are renting with a wall mount. Will have to do some research and see if I can secure it better on the stand. (Will update with an answer to this issue if I find one.) 2.) Sound isn't mind blowingly amazing but it's a TV not a stereo and we all need to get outside more often anyway. The world is WAY more amazing than a couch. To sum this up. The TV is an excellent deal and I would recommend it to anyone that doesn't want to spend over $600 for smart TV with all the bells and whistles or $4000 for that enormous 4k TV they had on display. It was pretty mesmerizing to stare at but $4000 for a TV? Crazy what people have money for. I am a fan of this purchase. Sincerely, A real person who made a purchase with money. Cheers! Purchased on 2/25/2017 and posted this review on the same day. I will update this review later if I find that I need to.

I caught the 48" version of this TV on clearance and I'm so glad I went ahead and bought one before they were gone. This TV is the perfect size for my living room and is so much better than the SD 25" non-flat-panel that I used to have. The picture is great and the sound is pretty good, although somewhat muffled as the speakers are on the back of the TV. It is great for watching DVD's - almost makes me think I'm in a theater because of the size and the clarity. Setup was super easy - it walks you through every step. Several access ports for your DVD or Blu-Ray, game equipment, VCR, even a laptop can be connected if your laptop has a HDMI port as mine does. I've only had mine a short time so can't say how well it'll hold up but, so far, I'm very happy with the TV and very happy with Best Buy.

    Great picture; irregularities in volume

About three weeks after setting up this TV it started having fluctuations in volume levels from channel to channel. We've never had any problem like this with our other Insignia (a five year old 42"). At the Geek Squad's suggestion I called Verizon and got a new set top box but the volume problem persists. We have a Geek Squad rep coming to look at it. The picture is great but the entire screen is not used when playing dvds. Set up is a snap. My biggest complaint is with Best Buy's 15 day return policy. If GS can't fix it we will have to rely on the manufacturer's one month return policy. Since it is Best Buy's brand they ought to have the same warranty as the manufacturer. Consider this before buying from Best Buy.

I bought this tv because after about 8 years, my old one finally died, so needless to say it had been awhile since I purchased a TV. When I first got to Best Buy there were so many options. My primary concerns were that I didn't want a smaller tv than the one I had and I didn't want to go over a budget. I didn't need a smart TV since I already had several game systems, nor did I need one of the 4K TV's since this one sits in a room where you wouldn't notice a difference. For my requirements, this tv went above and beyond. The picture is sharp, it was fairly inexpensive, easy to assemble, and has the right amount of ports.

I must admit I'm extremely impressed. I read reviews prior to purchasing and I'm glad I listened to the majority. The picture quality is amazing and crispy. We have lots of large screens including Sony, LG, etc and this one competes, if not better. You get a decent amount of ports (3 HDMI, etc. ) and the sound quality isn't bad although all of my televisions run through surround sound. The value for the money is second to none. It had lots of nice features also that makes things convenient. For instance, you can customize each port name; so, instead of HDMI 1, HDMI 2, etc., you can do like us and name them Firestick, XBOX, or whatever you have plugged in.) Makes things easier for my wife to find. We love it. You won't be disappointed.

This is a great TV for the price. The size is just right for our living room. Picture is really good for the price point. While watching Blu Ray the picture is awesome. Only thing I dislike is how the feet for the stand are angled. Wish they were straight! Then I could get my dish receiver under the TV with the Blu Ray player.

For the price, I was amazed at how clear the picture was. I was also surprised how good the speakers sounded. Every flat panel TV I have bought has had horrible speakers, but this one isn't "tinny" at all. I still have it hooked up to a set of speakers but I could use it without them. The setup was easy, and I like how small of a footprint the stands are. Overall, I would definitely recommend this TV over all in the price range, even some of the more expensive TVs.

Very happy with this so far. The picture quality is excellent. It has a nice thin bezel which allowed for adding 6 inches of screen in the same footprint as my old TV. Very lightweight and works well on my new full-motion wall mount. Built in speakers are surprisingly good as well. My only concern is it feels a bit flimsy with a lot of flex when I pull it out from the wall and I feel like I have to be careful not to damage it. But otherwise very good value for the money

It's a relatively large tv for a good price. The color is nice. It's not an ultrahd television, but the picture is clear, and the sound is good. Panasonic put some money into developing this product start to finish. The box it came in was almost heavier than the TV, and I understand why. We purchased TWO Westinghouse 43' UHD TVs and both were broken straight out of the box. Cost cutting is telling but Panasonic had no cost cutting to show!

This TV is like most Insignia TVs - an entry level product with entry level pricing that provides outstanding value with a really intelligent mix of features. Three HDMI inputs, one RF (75 ohm antenna i.e RG6 coax), and one USB are adequate without being excessive. Picture and sound quality are better than you might expect at this price point. The matte screen does a good job of reducing glare caused by ambient lighting. The 1080p resolution is more than adequate since most over air and cable services provide at most a 720p signal. Note on inputs and outputs: 1. This TV has a digital tuner. Many of the 2017 model year entry level TVs DO NOT have on-board tuners. If you plan on using an antenna to pick up TV stations then this TV is a great choice for you. 2. This TV (along with most TVs sold since 2015/2016) does not have stereo audio outputs (RCA or bare wire). The only audio output choice is optical so you can't use this with some older audio systems which rely on having the old left/right channel inputs. This isn't a knock on the TV, just a fact you may need to consider. One last thing to consider is the excellent customer service provided by Insignia. I have dealt with one of the MAJOR players in the LED TV business who has world class customer DIS-SERVICE. Not so Insignia - these folks demonstrate every day what great customer service is all about.

This 48" Insignia is a great value i happened to get it when it was on sale for below $230 for its size and quality. It's a good all-purpose TV, which is what we use it for -- regular cable TV viewing. I paired it with a Roku so we could use the Watch ESPN app. Something i could not even do with my SMART TV, So far it has been great, sound quality is even better than i expected.

I really wasn't in the market, of buying a new TV, but after seeing the price on this 48" insignia, I was sold. The picture is ok for the resolution provided, for the price, you just can't beat it. Truth be told, it's not the 4K, which is a great product, by the way, but it serves the purpose & the price was mind blowing. Thank you Best Buy, for always having such great deals.
