It worked good for the first year or so but now it freezes all the time and doesn't always work properly. I have to turn it off and on sometimes to get it going.

This tv does not have the best quality. It lacks the brightness and definition of other tvs. It seems a bit blurry for me. Fine for its price though.

I purchased this TV confidentially, as I was replacing a 4+ year old 32" Insignia TV in our bedroom. We have been so pleased with our previous Insignia. We wanted a nice sized wall mount TV for our remodeled bedroom and this one seemed perfect. The price is outstanding, period. It has good color and clarity and even pretty good sound. Plenty of hook-up and looks great on our bedroom wall. We knew we were making the right choice as far as value for a bedroom TV with this Insignia TV.

Good TV, works, great price...

First, if you have a Comcast X1 remote and wish to use it to control this TV, the proper code is 12049. There are other codes that will work partway, but don't seem to allow control of the "input" function on the TV. 12049 seems to be working just fine--snagged it off the Xfinity site.
Now, this is a very reasonably priced TV. Got it for $299 after the movers broke our old TV. I'm not going to say this is the most amazing TV ever--clearly, you can spend thousands of dollars and get something insanely sharp and clear, but this TV is very good. It shows movies well, has good volume, works well with my cable system, and makes me happy. If you're a TV snob (which some people are, and that's ok!), then this is not the TV for you. You can go buy the Sony curved screen 4k 65" or whatever thing for eight grand. But if you want a good TV at a good price, this one's for you.

This TV has a good picture, it takes a very long time to change the channel, it takes so long to change the channel in fact, that the channel recall will not work, it gets caught up in a loop of the second channel.
It is a very basic tv.
In the end it was $300 and I would probably spend a little more if I had it to do over again.

Awesome TV , but HAVE to tweak settings
Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.
This TV can look amazing , but the preset settings don't look good at all. Try these:
picture mode - custom
backlight - 50 (the set is somewhat dim but this can be changed according to lighting conditions)
brightness - 52 (this setting wildly changes the image with each step. This is critical)
contrast - 52 (anything higher than 50 doesn't seem to do much)
color - 32 (this set is extremely saturated at 50 which I guess is typical of cheap panel but 32 got it under control)
tint - 0 (no point in touching this)
sharpness - 10 (Sharpness seems to not turn off at 0, but 10 seemed to be the closest to removing edge enhancement)
advanced settings
aspect ratio - normal
overscan - off
dynamic backlight - off
color temp - normal (warm can't be fixed with the limited color controls)
noise reduction - off (this really, really ruins the image)
adaptive contrast - off (this kind of setting shouldn't even exist for calibration)

I did the research and checked out this TV. I know another person who had purchased this TV and really liked it. I think the Insignia brand is quite good too.. Purchased it on sale. It was carefully packed and easy to set up. I was off and running in just a few minutes.
