I purchased 2 tablets and they're ok for the price. The only thing I don't like is that you only have 15 days to return it back to the store!

Good TV for the price

We were looking for a another TV for the extra room we now have. We searched online first before going into a Best Buy to determine which TV quality we liked most. We weren't originally looking at this TV for purchase but the price (it was on sale) and the quality was actually nice when we viewed it against other more expensive TVs. My husband (the more frugal one) determined this TV was the best for the price and our needs. We have Firesticks and our current smart tv function is rarely used. My only caveat with this TV, which in the long run is insignificant, is that there is only a power/input button actually on the TV (I don't know why I like having the volume, channel, etc. buttons on the actual TV itself). This is an actually very lightweight TV, easy to assemble, and a good price for the overall quality.

My 1st 39" insignia was a gift and I like it very much. The picture is really nice. I have had the 1st one for 4 yrs now and very satisfied with it. We recently needed a new TV for family room and purchased a 48". For the price and being I had the older Insignia,we decided to purchase the 48". Had the new one for a couple of days now and the picture is real nice...hope all stays that way....so far I am a satisfied customer of Insignia.

Great Quality - Reasonable Price

Insignia is a high quality brand that comes with a reasonable price tag. Since Best Buy owns and manufactures this brand it stands to reason that what they produce would have some quality behind it. I'm not really into paying an arm & a leg for a high end bells and whistles TV, that can cook you dinner and watch the kids.
This is a great sized TV for any room that won't have you company/guests straining their eyes. Using an HDMI really helps to transmit the clearest quality, and with a thin profile this TV won't look like an eyesore. On top of that the TV also comes with the screws and pads necessary for wall mounting the unit (mounting bracket itself not included).
This will be a TV that you would be satisfied with for years to come, before you feel like buying another one!

When I went to the store it was between this 48" and a 43" Vizio, but the Vizio screens on display were uniformly the least bright in the store, so I instead went with the Insignia house brand and the larger screen. I worried that a 48" might overpower the relatively small wall it was to be mounted on, but that worry turned out to be nothing - it looks entirely appropriate. The picture is good - bright and vibrant. The content is exclusively fed to the TV via Apple TV 4th generation, and I skip the TV entirely on the audio and bluetooth audio directly from the Apple TV to my external powered speakers, so I can't really speak for or against the TV's built-in speakers. I only have one major complaint - the way Insignia choose to implement CEC standards on this TV, my Apple TV will turn the TV on when I wake the Apple TV, but it fails to turn the TV off when I put the Apple TV to sleep, which in my opinion is a really stupid and frustrating way to implement CEC standards. When I contacted customer service to make sure I wasn't missing something, they verified that this is accurate, and said that the Apple TV could turn on the TV, and if I turned the TV off (via the button on the side of the TV or the TV remote, the TV would put the Apple TV to sleep. Way to go, Insignia - you have accomplished absolutely nothing except force customers to use 2 remote controls instead of just 1. Really stupid. The TV still earns 4 stars based on the price point value and quality of the picture.

I purchased this 48' t.v. for my "MAN'S CAVE" room and so far very satisfied with performance. great picture, good sound and enough hdmi inputs for my dvd, computer etc.For the price 0f $229.99 it's great!! about the only thing it needs is to be a smart t.v. but my ROKU stick takes care of that wish.

Good TV for price but poor manufacturing

I bough this TV in March 2015. I loved how it was light weight and had a great quality picture. It does not have enough HDMI ports though. For the first year the TV was great, but in March 2016 I began having issues. The TV would show the red light when it was off but would not turn on when you pressed the power button. The red light would go off and the screen would stay black. I took the TV back to the store where I purchased it and they agreed to look into the issue under the manufactures warranty. That was great. The bad part was they kept the TV around two weeks before returning it to me saying it was operational. Of course I got home and the Tv did not work. I called them and explained I lived over thirty minutes and could not bring it back in again. They agreed to send out a technician for free to look at he Tv at my residence. Well several days later the tech showed up. He was great and handled my TV with care. He believed he found the problem after around an hour of work or so. Some panel inside of the TV needed to be replaced. Of course he did not have the parts to fix the TV. So there went another week waiting on him to come back with the parts. Eventually he fixed the TV and everything worked fine until today November 2016. Now I have a large line across the top of the screen. I guess some of the lights or whatever went out. Of course now the TV is out of its year warranty and would not be worth paying several hundred dollars to fix it. So in the end the TV is great for the price when functioning properly but manufactured poorly. I don't believe I just got a lemon TV because if that was the case I would have had issues right away. It took some time for the issues to come about. I believe the quality in the manufacturing is majorly lacking. I will not by another insignia brand TV due to this experience. Hope this may help someone with there purchase. HDTV's should last a decade not a year and a half. Thanks

This is the 5th Insignia HDTV bought in our family over the last 10 years. All have been very satisfactory. Bought this on sale as an upgrade for 90 year old parent. Easy to set up, very good picture, easy to operate. Not as many adjustment options as pricier brands, but we needed simple, and the results are more than acceptable. 1 issue - feet are fairly wide apart (32inches?) and angled so be sure it will fit where you want it - we had to add a black shelf board underneath to make the TV stand wider.

I was reluctant to buying a tv that wasn't a Samsung brand, but for the price I couldn't refuse. I can honestly say that I'm happy with the decision I made. The box is just the right size & fit in my car perfectly. The picture is great & so is the sound. It's also easy to put together. I'm totally satisfied & recommend this product!

Good deal on this Best Buy tv

Got a good deal on this 48 inch TV over the 4th weekend. Already have a Roku, so the fact that this isn't smart is no issue for me. Easy setup, just screw on two stand supports on its base, and fits on my existing stand. Setup no problem, just disconnected everything from old TV and plugged into this one. Cable. Roku on one hdmi port. Insignia soundbar to optical port on TV. Has three hdmi ports so we are good. The insignia TV controller also is compatible with my insignia soundbar so don't need two controllers. Adjustable TV for various TV or streaming picture settings. Very nice for 279.
