I've been fairly happy with the Rocketfish brand filters. They are well made and perform well.

Ok for starters, you have to turn the filter to make it work!! Thats why they call it a Circular Polarizer!! You can adjust it by turning the outter ring of the filter and if you don't its not going to work! I love this filter!

I got this to replace the polarizing filter i had for other lenses. These days with Photoshop and post processing the function of saturating the colors is a mute one. Elimination of glare of of leaves, cars, rocks and deepening the blue of the sky is very handy. It does not work well as a lens protector due to amount of light it cuts out of the lens. It appears to be optically clean though.

This is really bad product and shouldn't even be offered. It says it is a CPL and if you read up before purchasing on what a CPL is capable of doing you won't want this product...but, unfortunately you can't find out that it doesn't do what a CPL is supposed to do until you open the case and look at it. Do your research and you will find that a CPL should have varying intensities of darkness based on how it is rotated. At some point a good CPL will go almost completely dark. When you hold this up to light and rotate it you really don't see any difference in light/dark. It's very disappointing.

Does not give good polarizing effect.

It was difficult to thread onto the lens and the polarizing effect was weak.
