Excellent router with great coverage and connection speed is very fast

I had a 7 yr old Linksys that stopped transmitting wireless. The router hardwired portion still worked but whatever. Long story short. I was willing to invest some money into a state of the art wifi router. This baby exceeded my expectatiob. Still excited to hook up my external HD USB for the network cloud option. Ive had it for a month so far without any issues.

I bought this router because I saw a Cnet review on it as being one of their 2013 top pcks and the fact that is a Dual Wan wireless router, which I have been looking for at least a year now and this is the only one that I have found. Its backwards compatible with all of my older devices and the range is farther than any router I have ever had.

I have never purchased an Asus before. My IT guy suggested I try it. The previous routers did not last long. I always had dropped signals and never enough signal strength. So far this router has a better signal strength and I am enjoying not having to unplug and re-plug the router & modem often. So this is a wait and see how long this router lasts and performs. Crossing fingers.

The router is a great investment with great range (coming from an older N router). This AC router has far better signal and ability to go to areas the previous router could not. I am in the process of getting it hooked up as a bridge for the Verizon FIOS router (which unfortunately must still be used for HD TV). Overall impressed!

I made the mistake and went for a lesser router prior to getting this one. I knew this one existed but didn't want to spend the money for features I may not need right away. Well, long story short I now have two routers, including this Asus. I've never been happier with a device that sits in the basement and does its job so well!

This was a present for Christmas. It was easy to install and had everything up and running in minutes. Home had some hit n miss spots in the house that got poor wifi reception. This has taken care of those dead spots. Honestly Im still learning what all its capable of doing since its a lot more than your typical router. A little pricy but then again I didnt buy it.

I love this product. I needed a better router for my apartment because I am in an area with tons of networks competing for airspace. I needed a powerful router so I for this one. It met and passed my expectations regarding signal strength and distance but it also has a full set of really powerful networking tools.

We were burning through routers every couple 3 to 4 months due to the number of devices and the distance between them. The Asus is performing beautifully. Time will tell if it will hold up but we are not having the errors or having to perform resets. The wireless range is also the best that I've ever had.

our old router couldnt handle the traffic with netflix, 2 game consoles, 3 smart phones, 1 tablet and sat tv so i bought this one and it works flawlessly! latest and greatess technology so it wont go obsolete in 3 months. highly recommend!

Setup was easy. No problems setting up network. Great deal of options when setting up. Normally had to flash a custom firmware to get the options available on other routers. Would recommend this router for any need, be it a simple home network, to an advanced business one. This is the router to have.

I have had this router for about 1 month. It replaced my Netgear router which constantly drop the signal and required rebooting. For the limited time I have had it, it has been great. Easy to set up, Steele connection. I got it on sale for around $120. Even at regular price, I would recommend it.

I bought this to compare it with my NETGEAR AC1450 (basically an R6300). Of the several other high-end routers I've tried, nothing had more range than my AC1450, for whatever reason, which I found odd. Other than that, the performance of this router is excellent and has just about every feature a regular or power user might want.

I was in the market for a high end wireless routerto better my online gaming experience. It was between this model and netgear nighthawk. Ended up getting the ASUS RT-AC68U on a fantastic sale by BB (probably a mistake it was so cheap!). I've yet to take advantage of the advanced features such as wireless printing and cloud storage (asus has an app for this router!). The average user will have some learning curve with all the features and that is why for "use" and "installation I did not give top marks. For tech savvy peeps, this thing is Awesome. I have router in an upstairs bedroom and the xbox one is downstairs in the family room. With my old netgear 802.11n router that had very good signal strength, the Xbox would say the wireless signal strength was anywhere between 72% and 80%. Now with the ASUS, on 2.4 connection the strength is 96% and on 5.0 connection it's 82%. Wireless download speeds on a 25mbps max cable connection improved slightly too. It's been up for a month or so with zero issues.

Decided to go all out and buy a top of the line router, thinking I don't want to have to upgrade again, if/when I get more "smart" devices. The network dude at the store was very helpful and pointed this out to me. Easy to setup, great performance. I love the guest network setup as well.

Bought it on sale for 50% off. Best purchase I have made on a router in a long time. I was mainly a Cisco guy but it was hard not to purchase this being on sale. Glad I did. The range is incredible and I haven't had an issue yet out of it. Definitely worth the money, even at full price.

This item is easy to setup. The range of the wi fi is excellent and goes through out the whole house and nearly our whole yard. We are able to BBQ and stream music via wi fi a good 50 ft from the house with no problems.

I have tried other Routers and all had a lag or delay in streaming video from my Apple TV or would lose connection on laptop. This router gives me a great connection regardless how far away from it the laptop is. Its a little expensive but you get what you pay for.
