It has Hall effect sticks which feel fine and the rechargeable battery can be removed. It does work with the switch and the switch 2

It feels amazing to use I’ve had zero issues connecting it to my PC and phone i havent tried to connect it to my switch just yet but I imagine it would be seamless and easy, Ive used the SN30 Pro which is the same form factor minus the handles and even that felt great in my hands so I couldn’t resist buying the standard controller form.

I switched over from the Logitech F710 to the 8BitDo Pro2, and there are a few things I like about it more.
* Tighter D-pad - The Logitech has more of a "rocker"-style D-pad, which doesn't have the same precision feel as the 8BitDo. The 8BitDo feels a lot more like the old school NES gamepad.
* Better grips - For me, the 8BitDo grips are smoother and less harsh compared to the Logitech. The Logitech is just a chunkier controller all around.
* Multi-system support - The 8BitDo can be used on the PC, Switch, and Android with the flip of a switch.
* Hall effect sticks - Hopefully these hall effect sticks will prevent drift over the lifetime of this controller. I have another 8BitDo Pro2 without hall effect sticks, and it doesn't have any problems with drift after about a year.
* Optional batteries - You can optionally run on regular batteries instead of the rechargeable one. This means you can still use it even if the rechargeable battery dies.
* Wired or wireless - Sometimes you just want a wired connection for reduced latency.

I love this controller! I use it on a mac for emulated games. The ergonomics are great, it pairs well with most games and the bluetooth connection has been rock solid. Battery life is fantastic!

Before i write a long review ill just say first if you play CLAW and want PlayStation style controller with hall effect sticks for BR games just buy this one for now. I tried the new Wolverine v3 tournament edition and returned it after two days. If you dont play claw id say that controller is the best to get period. But since i play double claw the PlayStation style controller is best for how i play. Until playstation goes back to hall effect joysticks this will be my main controller or untill i learn to solder hall effect sticks to a PS controller. The one thing i dont like about this controller are the thumbstick design. They are to wide and just feel weird. I recommend either switching the thumbsticks with dome sticks and if you do make sure you drill the inside of the thumbstick so you can lower the stick down a bit. Under the top plate of the controller there is a circuit board which if that wasnt there then you wouldnt have to mode the thumbstick but since its there you will have to drill out a little to lower it a bit. I hade some laying around and did this and the controller is now perfect. It only has two back buttons but it you play double claw it doesnt matter. I do sorta wish it had trigger stops but thats just me being picky.

Like most 8BitDo controllers the quality is excellent. The addition Hall Effect sticks potentially increases the life of the controller. A word of warning, this thing has a tendency to glitch out when over charged. So when you are playing plugged in for an extended period it is best to remove the battery all together.

Feels great, holds a charge, my only complaint is that after some use the R2 button squeeks when released. It was so noticable I thought it was part of the game sound effects. I am playing Silksong so I use that button a lot.
I would recommend if you can get over the squeeks!

I like 8Bitdo controllers, this one is especially nice because it has a replaceable battery pack. Hopefully it will extend the life of the controller. The analog stick placement is more comfortable than the Pro 1

Looks and feels great. Had no problem connecting to a MacBook. Love the classic controller feeling. I think it may be more comfortable for longer sessions than my modern series x controller.
Good price and build quality for a non-OEM control

It has a really sleek and retro design. I personally opted with the black one since it matches with any color. However, the gray retro color scheme is also really good. The controller feels very solidly built and I would say it surpasses the quality of an OEM Xbox controller and Switch Pro controller. Definitely recommend.
