Both of them are at the "end of life" for their software and unable to update them. We got them for our kids to start their online school programs and neither of them are able to do anything with them. I understand these are "pre-owned" but nowhere obvious that I am able to find in the description does it say, unable to update software (therefore unable to use them for very much of anything).

We are sorry you are unhappy with your Acer Chromebook. The Chromebook devices do have an end of life date, as this applies to all Chromebooks regardless of manufacturer. While Chromebooks are designed to have automatic updates, as Google explains: "end-to-end updates for all our devices to ensure the highest levels of security requires dependencies on many third-party hardware and software providers so we cannot indefinitely ensure that older Chrome devices will receive updates to enable new OS and browser features." Great for the money.

I didn’t wanna pay a ton of money, but for 80 bucks this is great. Delivers everything he needed and a bunch more features.

Never buy preowned or refurbished

I called the company that refurbished it and was given a quick fix, which never worked. I also can't find the apps I normally use. I am not a techie at all, but I can do the most rudimentary things usually, but this chromebook is a huge disappointment.

All corners had chips. Scratches all over the keyboard. Luckily it was just for last minute homeschooling for a few weeks. If this was for anything more I would have returned it.

It wouldn’t even charge right out of the box. Returned it for some help and was told to just get my $ back. Very disappointed. We will never buy something like this again.
