Obviously not a complete laptop replacement. Excellent, light, moveable, but large, comfortable device for Internet use with a long-lasting battery. My wife took it over for Facebook, e-mail, browsing, searching, shopping. She won't put up with a tedious little tablet or phone for this sort of thing any more than I would. Also, who wants to deal with anti-virus installation and maintenance? I just clear out the cache, make sure it stays charged, and leave it out on the table every evening... it is certainly OK, but clunky, for occasional document handling when you need it. I personally generally go between a real laptop (or the great, glorious, grand, ruling, never-to-be-supplanted PC) for most uses and an Android tablet for Kindle specifically or a few things that might require the use of an S-pen, but this large Chromebook is exactly the right thing for what it is best at. Don't throw away your phone. It is still good for phone calls. OK, and for GPS use in cars, to grab for a very brief, quick lookup, for the camera and the alarm, and, yes, for whatever dinky, handy little app strikes your fancy. It is NOT suited for regular, comfortable, enjoyable Internet use. Build quality and durability probably match or exceed the price. The last one lasted for over four years of constant use before the power connection started getting a little touchy and unreliable and then the connection to the screen went out. This is still fixable, and I haven't thrown it out, but why not just get another one of these perfectly-suited, inexpensive machines? I am writing this review mainly in the earnest hope that people will continue to buy precisely this make and model. There is nothing else out there to fill this niche.

This is a kind of cheap-affordable laptop/chrome book, so dońt expect to have the best device on the market, run video games, and use it with 10 windows at the same time. Be realistic. Once we have understood that, it seems to be a great product, if you canˋt afford something better or you just want to buy something for students, I think it is a great deal. The screen is huge. I am use to 11” screens, so this looks huge for me, like the old times laptop, that is perfect for kids. The resolution is ok. Donˋt expect the retina display of a 4 times more expensive. But is good. The keyboard, microphone and speakers are pretty good. The camera is ok. Enough to have a Zoom or Skype, not enough if you want to make your own tv channel in high resolution. The speed is ok. This is not a MacBook Pro. So sometimes instead of opening a app or webpage in les than one second, takes a 1 or 2 seconds. If you are a “A” type person who needs everything fast and perfect, maybe you will be disappointed, if you can be ok with waiting one more second and enjoy that you spend not so much, will be great. We are using it basically, for school and seems to be working very good. Until now we are very satisfied. A great price to solve the problem of kids needing their own device for online school. Again, donˋt expect a Ferrari performance if you pay for basic Chevrolet. But for kids, an extra laptop, or something similar is more than enough. Another thing, for not so young buyers, this is a Chromebook, it works just with Google apps and sometimes with Android apps. That means you can not install windows, or many things in the same way you know.

We ordered this for my 9yr okc for school. His school uses chrome platform and all my other laptops are macs. To make it easier for him we bought him this. It’s fast enough for what he needs it for. Basic word processing and online school work. I only wish office came preinstalled but it wasn’t hard to download and install. Zoom and Skype work well and it’s easy enough for him to navigate on his own. For the price this met our needs

I bought this laptop for my boyfriend who has had to make the switch to online classes during Covid-19. He wanted to save up and buy a more expensive laptop, but I read the reviews and decided to get him this one. He is extremely happy with it. It works fast, easy to use and allows him to do what he needs to do!

I wanted to replace an ancient Dell laptop that had been relegated to internet browsing only but didn't want to pay PC price. I also wanted something larger than my phone or tablet and had a keyboard. This Chromebook fit all the criteria. Sharp image, super fast on/off. Good battery life and really nice picture.

Gift for my daughter. Most of her electronics have a low life expectancy but she needed a computer for school. This was a great alternative. It serves the purpose of meeting her school needs and shes found recreational ways to use it as well. The price along with its functions is why I purchased it. It has a nice big screen but is still very light and portable. My daughter loves it.

We wanted a basic model Chromebook for our teenager, to make life a little easier in our house, while distance learning, and without spending too much money- this is it! It’s a great laptop, larger screen, and is very easy for him to use and navigate his google classrooms. We’re very happy with the purchase. Thinking about getting a 2nd one for my 4th grader.

I purchased this for my father who is sixty six years old. He is not computer savvy so luckily this chrome book is easy to use and plenty of power for emails, browsing and video chat. Obviously it is not a powerful piece of hardware however it is more than adequate for everyday computing and word processing at a wallet friendly price.

It starts up almost immediately, screen is big, it doesn't lag, it does everything a regular laptop does without the bigger price. The only thing I didn't like was when I use an optional mouse the scroll wheel does scroll much and I searched everywhere to adjust it and found nothing.

Bought this for my high school student for virtual schooling during stay-at-home due to the Covid-19 pandemic; it is easy to use and all of the previous info from the existing google accounts merged seamlessly. Much bigger screen that the original computer. Happy.

I love my new laptop!!!! This computer has great tour guides for each function. Rather a person is an elder or a child, it's very easy to use. Everything loads very fast, nice camera love my app choices. My eight year old does activities on the laptop with no problems at all. I use it for business and entertainment.

It is what I need for the moment to work on my school papers. I would recommend it to a friend or someone who might be in school. Fast searching and easy to use.

I got this for my son's sudden distant learning classes. This is very affordable and it has everything a middle school kid needs. Not too fancy yet it has everything he needs for school which is the most important. The screen is crystal clear and crisp. The size is perfect too. No Regrets!!

It was a great price. I'm finding it very easy to use for my grandsons online school. I'm not real tech savvy and yet the cues are making me feel like I am. Lol. I've also been using it a lot for zoom meetings and learning more things about it all the time. Very good value for the price.

This was the second Acer Chromebook that I purchased for my kids. With recent home schooling it is coming in very handy. My kids are very comfortable with using it!

Excellent Chromebook, perfect for kids and adults. Large screen, easy to use, great value. This has been perfect for my daughter and her distance learning as well as the ability to Zoom and game with her friends.

Purchased this just to use for searching the internet- parts for yard equipment, tires for my truck, reviews on products. It was simple to set up, is very easy to use (for a non-tech person), has great battery life. The lack of capital letters has been an issue, especially with passwords, and the speakers could be louder. Overall I would recommend this laptop to anyone.
