    Very nice monitor for gaming!

I use the monitor for my PlayStation. The curve, size and display is adequate for the amount of gaming I do. It is clear and helps with lagging. My only complaint is the stand does not hold the monitor securely, regardless the tightness of the screws.

Second one in less than 1 year

I purchased the first monitor bit over a year ago(was in late July IIRC or perhaps early August). I thought i was ok for a while, however within 4-6 weeks of setting up, half of the screen faded to roughly half brightness. It was like the brightness was turned down, but only for one half of the screen. I had that one returned(luckily under BestBuy's extended return period!) and got a replacement(same model). That one lasted for a while, but around 3-4 months ago, began to "disconnect" from the input device and would switch to my alternate device. I use this laptop as a primary for my work laptop AND as a secondary for my home game PC. Typically, I could disconnect the cable (HDMI) and it would switch back. Last night, I finally decided it would not connect to EITHER device.. I tried a few alternate cables, but nothing would bring an image other than the few seconds it was "starting up" in which case it would attempt to connect to DVI(don't have one) and then go into standby mode. So, my primary issue appears to be with build quality and consistency. Perhaps I just got a few out of the bad batches, but this experience poisons me to this brand name forever. Usage: the monitor itself was decent image quality(but I am by no means a professional image editor, so what do I know). Additionally, I was quite annoyed by the input mechanism... the controls are a singular "joystick" located on the back. It's in a very odd location that makes it rather difficult for me to turn on/off. It is located about 2 inches up and about 1.5 inchs inward on the bottom right side. As well, the action required to turn off is to push the stick in for 5 seconds which makes it a bit hard since it really only works if you push straight in vs a bit to the left/right/up/down which is how the menu is navigated. Very unintuitive vs pretty much every other monitor I have had in my life with multiple buttons along the bottom/side/front. To make matters worse, after purchasing a new monitor, I removed the monitor from the anchor arm of my two monitor stand(purchased, did not come with item!), and attempted to remove the 4 mounting screws. They just turned and turned and turned but were stuck(I did NOT overtighten during the initial install back in February), I ended up having to take my Dremel and carefully cut into the screws enough to remove the mounting hardware so I could use it for the replacement (from Dell) I got this on sale as I did not want to pay a lot but in some cases the old saying is true: you get what you pay for and for me, this was a horrible purchase If I could make this a no star or even a half star, I would, but I can't so it gets the minimum one star Bestbuy's site will allow.

EYE STRAIN and BLUE LIGHT very bad

Do not buy this monitor. I bought two thinking wouldn't it be ridiculous to have two of these large monitors with the high 165HZ. The monitors emit major BLUE LIGHT. The EYE STRAIN is bad. I've had very bad eye strain for the past 2 days after an hour on the computer and i've been putting in eye drops. Yeah, don't make the same mistake as me and don't buy this, :/ it's too good to be true. Yes, i've tried all of the adjustments from the monitor itself and putting the computer on night mode. ALSO be careful because your tower might not be able to output 165HZ. It's only putting out 119 HZ.
