I've had this laptop since the summer of 2023 and though it works amazingly, the body of this laptop just is not ideal. Since my purchase, I've had to return for body repair / replacement twice and though it has not been a year since the completion of my last repair, the base and top panel are cracked again! Just to clarify, I do not mishandle the device in any way and I have treated this laptop the same as any laptop I have had for work or personal use and have never experienced this problem. It is the "green" material. Acer is aware of this issue and unfortunately, regardless of this fact that it's been less than a year since the repair, I have to now pay for the same issue that continues to occur. Due to this experience, I will unlikely purchase this type of material or an Acer again. If you purchase, you have to treat as a desktop and never move it or transport it in a laptop case, otherwise, you will likely experience the same as I have.

Good reliable laptop. The only con is the sound not being to loud and the screen not being too bright.

Use this for my small business. Perfect addition to my workspace. Beautiful display, dependable, going on one year and I have no complaints. Highly recommends for basic business design & marketplace/website functions.

Great little laptop for my needs. A little confused about with they letters R & E on the keyboard are backwards. I’m sure there is an explanation.

Excellent laptop with good specs. No issues or concerns since getting it and it is made of recyclable material which is always a plus.

I got this in 2023. It did not last two years because of the plastic. We want to go green, but simply opening and closing the laptop caused the plastic to break down, break and detach from the screen. I cannot close it; otherwise, the screen will pop off. I have tried snapping the plastic back on, but it is ineffective. Another issue is that when resting my wrist to type, it becomes very glitchy to the point where I have to keep my wrist elevated in order for it to type normally. As much as I want to go green, I cannot recommend this laptop.

Hi my name is Larry. I bought this laptop when it was priced at $499 on Friday February 3rd, 2023. I had been searching for a laptop for a while. I just upgraded from a Dell Inspiron 7373 (Intel i7) from 2017 that i messed up, apparently i deleted some files from the bios menu off the hard drive and that was it...it got screwed up and became glitchy, nothing worked, i tried fixing it 3 times myself being a tech guy that i am. Anyway, i found this laptop and was comparing the specs to other laptops that was around the same price point. It's so amazing how i was able to pick up a Laptop with: An Intel i5 1235u(10 core, 12 Threads) 8GB DDR4 Memory, and 512GB SSD Storage for $499 in 2023 when back in 2017 i bought a Dell Inspiron Intel Core i7 8550u(4 Core, 8 Threads) 16 GB DDR4 Memory and 256GB SSD Storage for $1,100 I looked up the performance difference between the 2 Intel Chips on https://gadgetversus.com/ and i was shocked that i was getting double/triple the performance of an old Intel i7 Chip (8th Gen) inside of a Intel i5 Chip (12th Gen) based off of Cinebench scores. I recently purchased a Corsair Vengeance 16GB DDR4 Ram Stick to install inside the Acer Aspire Vero Green PC Laptop and according to the specifications on Best Buy, this specific laptop can hold about a maximum of 20GB Ram (4GB onboard + 16GB installed through the slot) which is great for me! After being new to Windows 11, i personally find that 8GB Ram/Memory is low for this operating system, considering that i use this laptop for multi-tasking, and, after doing some research online, i found out that Windows 11's Ram Requirements are 4GB Minimum. I did do some testing on other laptops at Best Buy that had Windows 11 and found that most of them were already at 70% of memory usage while having their best buy demos running. This laptop i have tested it and it seems to be using 45-55% Memory Usage when i start it up, for me, that's a lot of memory usage hence why i decided to upgrade to 20GB. Also, me having ADHD doesn't help one bit with the 8GB of ram lol. Another thing i like about this laptop is that according to it's packaging and marketing / advertising, it's super eco-friendly! and it's made with Recycled Parts. FOR ALL OF YOU THAT ARE WONDERING WHY THE R AND E KEYS ARE BACKWARDS, I BELIEVE THAT HAS TO DO WITH THE FACT THAT MOST OF THIS LAPTOP WAS MADE WITH (RE)cycled PARTS, SO THAT'S WHY THEY FLIPPED THE R AND E KEYS TO EMPHASIZE ON THE RECYCLING ASPECT OF THE LAPTOP. Sorry for caps lock, just trying to make sure everyone reads that part LOL OTHER THINGS: - Keys are back-lit and have 2 levels of brightness - Keys do feel good, and they are quiet. - This laptop does come with a finger-print sensor mounted on the top-left corner of the trackpad but i haven't tested it - Speakers are okay/decent. - The Laptop does have a raised-hinge effect where once you open the laptop past a certain point the bottom part will raise off the surface slightly to provide better air-flow to the laptop. - The laptop does not feel cheap in anyway, even though most of it is made with recycled parts, nothing feels cheap at all. - I am still doing testing as i just got this laptop about less than 2 weeks ago, as time does go by, i will edit and update this review. Used the laptop only a handful of times now Windows 11 will not boot up.

The 30% Post Consumer Plastic housing is one of the main reasons I chose this laptop. I selected the i5 because I'm going to use this device for school-work. I did try running Grand Theft Auto San Andreas and of course with it being an older gen game, it ran very very smoothly. The device is pretty slim but packed with all the external ports you need such as an RJ-45, HDMI, 3.5mm headphone jack ( which is much better quality audio than the basic speakers) Multiple USB 3.2 and a USB-C Thunderbolt. The backlit keyboard is also a huge plus. I used to sell computers for Best Buy and I admit that prior to this awesome flagship device, I would have never considered owning an Acer. I have always been a Samsung or HP PC fan. Now, I hope that more computer manufacturers follow Acer's lead and help get some of the plastic out of our oceans because every little bit counts. This laptop option is a very good one for students or even Microsoft Office tasks. I bought it as a gift and my aunt is in love with her new ACER laptop. It has a very acceptable speed multitasking, a very good resolution, and it’s very lightweight laptop because it’s made from recycled materials (yes this is a eco-friendly laptop) This laptop is a very option for an office or college experience. It is not oriented for gaming experience

This is a great laptop. It's lightweight and speedy. The only problem is the battery drains on it really fast, so it's a good idea to keep it plugged in at all times.

I looked at laptops for at least a month before i settled on this one. Basically i needed a laptop for everyday carry as my cheap one i bought years ago crapped out on me. Everytime i would filter down my search it would show nothing but gaming rigs and this. This laptop had everything i wanted except a dedicated graphics card, so i gave it a purchase and could not be happier. Not only does it run great ( i did install 16 gb of ram in the empty slot the device has which was a breeze to do) but it looks really cool due to the pcr material.

Lightweight, but great screen size and has a number key pad. Back lit keyboard great for me who likes to work in the dark. Also has 3 USB ports which was a must for me and most other laptops don’t have.

Got this for around $400, was researching the model and figured the 15” was the better option due to the upgradeable Ram and SSD and couldn’t be happier. Upgraded to a 2TB P5+ SSD and dropped a 16GB RAM stick in there for 20GB total and couldn’t be happier. Even when I only upgraded the onboard 4gb to 8 for a total of 12GB, it was great for my Music Production programs and VSTs (Pro Tools, FL Studio 20/21, Omnisphere, Arturia, etc.). Couldn’t be happier

Works great! I would say the only things I noticed is it over heats quick, but the fan does a good job at cooking it off. Also the battery runs out fast. I also do have a bunch of mods and sims things so take that lightly.

perfect laptop, great performance at a really comfortable price. have finger print reader, thats awesome in this class of laptops i like his aesthetic and the uniques details to remember every time you are using a unique laptop.

Outstanding Value for money, very nice machine, eco-friendly, something that will have people taking about when they see it, nice backlight on the Keyboard, Fast response opening programs, this can leave others behind, like the idea of using waste to protect the planet. One that you have to use

I bought this laptop for school. I really like that its made of post consumer recycled materials. The keyboard is backlit, which doesnt make a difference to me honestly. The R and the E are facing backwards as well and against doesn't matter to me. The battery life could use some improvement. After working just a few hours I have to plug it in. Ive had no issues using it with canvas, cengage or on line live lesson site. My only complaint so far is the batterylife isnt greay. Overall I would purchase this laptop again.

Wow! I just love this laptop! I purchased it so I could have an extra technology piece in the classroom. It is light weight and easy to use. I appreciate that it is made from recycled materials as well. Everyone gives positive comments on the look of the laptop as well. Thanks, Acer!
