Probably the best monitor I've had for playing games that recommend higher graphics. I've been an AMD fan (cpu & graphics cards) for awhile, and being able to extend the tech to a monitor is a big plus (Freesync really works). I haven't tried the speakers, due to using my computer's sound via headset. Not sure if anyone ever uses monitor speakers, but 2 watts isn't all that loud.

I had to return this monitor 3X because of bad IPS glow. The fourth time best buy refused to exchange the monitor. Stuck with a bad panel. I did not know best buy could refuse exchanges otherwise I would have returned it the first time. ACER has bad quality control. I liked the stand, ports and the aesthetics, but with severe IPS glow the panel is unacceptable. Will try to claim return protection with CC.

Shopped around for about a month looking for a monitor with these specs. 27", IPS, resolution higher than HD, fast millisecond response. This monitor has great specs. at a price that is lower than competing monitors with similar specs. The colors really pop on this monitor, brightness level is great. The monitor is very fast at 144Hz , 4 ms response, and 2560p x 1440p. Tack sharp graphics and text. The bezel is razor thin. I'm only using a single monitor, but with the razor thin bezel this would be a great monitor to use as 2 or 3 pushed together. The monitor also has a lot of functionality as far as input/output. Takes HDMI, DVI, and Display Port, and a 4 port USB 3.0 hub built in. The monitor looks amazing with a graphics card and Display Port cable. The monitor also includes cables for Display Port, DVI, and HDMI. So you are ready to go out of the box and don't need to buy any extra cables. It also has a pretty decent and very intuitive On Screen Display Menu to change settings like Brightness/Contrast, Color, Input Source, etc. I'm not really seeing any back light bleeding on this IPS panel, so very minimal to no bleeding. I have a G-Sync video card with this FreeSync monitor, so it is not synced. But it looks incredible and crisp set at 144Hz and 2560p x 1440p. The only thing not excellent about this monitor is the built-in speakers are kind of wimpy. Pretty much all monitors with built-in speakers don't sound good, and I don't even know why they even bother including built-in speakers. I'm using an external sound system, but I did try the internal speakers for a few minutes to test them, and the speakers on a mobile phone sound better. I guess the only reason you would use them is if you has some kind of box like Amazon, Roku, or something that you wanted to just directly plug into the monitor with an HDMI cable and wanted to hear sound that way. It has stereo jack you can plug into the monitor. But is will also play sound from a connected HDMI cable or Display Port cable. Overall Excellent Monitor and Highly Recommended.

Before purchase I did compared GSYNC, FREESYNC and VSYNC. Because I have a GTX1070, I doubt whether I shall pay 300 more dollors for GSYNC. From my research, no. At 144Hz the difference is minimal. About the product, the color is great, the brightness is great, The accessories covers every signal cable. I tried a couple of blockbuster titles and the graphics presences were brilliant. In terms of response time, I have not tried a TN at 144Hz, but IPS panel has some little blur effect in CS:Go and Dota 2 - if you move your camera very quickly. The only deficit is the IPS bleed. Generally that is fine. In very dark scenes I can notice the bottom right corner are brighter. Overall I give 4 star. At <=$500 level, you must consider it.

A welcome window into the COVID world.

Working from home in the COVID world quickly revealed the shortcomings of my 19" monitor. Using 1440p on a 27" monitor is the perfect resolution--4k on something this small would just be unusable. Plenty of connectivity options however the built-in speakers are very, very weak and are barely a step up from a 2015 cell phone. If you're on Windows 10 I would recommend downloading Microsoft PowerToys and activating the FancyZones feature. It makes it easy to have two windows side by side for all the benefits of two monitors without the desk space requirement.

I decided it was time to upgrade my old Acer 23" LCD monitor after several years and especially with my now being home using it all day long. I did a lot of research and settled on this one. All I can say is WOW! What a difference between the two. This one is so much brighter and crisper than my prior monitor. I have had no issues at all with this monitor and it makes sitting in front of my computer for long periods of time so much nicer. The four USB 3.0 ports are a very nice bonus. I have my webcam and USB light plugged directly into the back of the monitor and no longer have wires running to the tower part of my desktop PC. The price was also amazing for what you are getting.

    Sufficiently Replaces Dual Monitors

This monitor is actually really good. I was concerned because I generally am doing one of two things on my computer, and those are game, and program. I previously had dual monitors, and was having some space issues on my desk since it was so small, so I wanted to get a monitor that was big with a high resolution that would be able to allow me to see enough of multiple windows at a time while still being a reasonable size for gaming, and I have to say it has done both! The display itself is beautiful thanks to it being IPS. Colors are great and everything looks vibrant. My previous main monitor was a TN monitor, so I was afraid I might notice the difference in response time, and I have to say I ever so slightly have noticed the difference. However, everything looks so much better on IPS than on TN, so I think I slightly prefer this even though it isn't quite as responsive. That is me nit-picking more than anything, because this monitor is fantastic. The monitor itself is very bright however, and did hurt my eyes even when turned down significantly, and with glasses that supposedly filter out blue light, however, turning on the included blue light reduction feature seemed to solve the issue, and after getting used to it, I feel okay using it even when gaming. One stand out feature that really makes me like this even more is the stand. It is adjustable, and allows enough height to turn it into portrait mode (which I have done while programming to see much larger sections of code at once). In addition to that, it comes with all the cables this monitor supports, including hdmi, dvi, and displayport which is a nice touch. With the price you pay for monitors you would think that they would all come with extras like this, but most of my previous ones required me to place them on top of books or something to get them to the perfect height, and/or buy extra cables. Also a word of advice, in order to get the advertised 144hz refresh rate, you have to change a setting in Windows. Right click on the desktop and click Display Options, then click Advanced display settings, scroll down and select Display adapter properties, then choose the Monitor tab and set the refresh rate to 144hz. Oddly enough, when I went to Best Buy, the display model was not set to 144hz refresh rate which made it seem like it wasn't actually 144hz until I realized it was still set to 60hz. Another thing to keep in mind is that since this is a higher resolution monitor, you might need to upgrade your graphics card to get the framerate you want out of some games. I have a 970, and it struggles a lot on some games at full settings, but If you turn the graphics down just a tad, it seems to handle things much better. I would really suggest a 980/1070 or better if you plan on gaming and want to hit the 144 frames that this monitor can actually put out.

It has a clean image and some solid optimization options. I am a pretty casual user, but my goal was to get a good sized monitor for audio production and gaming, a great resolution for video production and screen capture, and some nice color for pixel art, Photoshop and, well, gaming. So far, I feel this fits the bill very well. I have yet to work on all of those things specifically (except for gaming), but I'm already happy with what it accomplishes. + Of course, the 144Hz response rate and 4ms response time have been awesome. Again, I am pretty noobish when it comes to getting into the technical specs, but I know these things (and FreeSync) depend quite a bit upon your computer hardware (and software output capability), and this monitor has done a great job keeping up with anything I've thrown at it. The display looks great from every angle and the antiglare works wonderfully as I sometimes need to turn on the light behind me. The ability to turn off blue light has been super nice when I've used it, and the thing can go way brighter than anyone would usually ever need (which is cool). I haven't bothered with the built-in speakers, as no one does unless you have to. I've had no shipping issues and no dead pixels. - I did not receive an HDMI or DVI cable, but it wasn't much of a problem for me getting going as I already had what I needed. I also had a few minor hiccups with it occasionally not displaying when it was hooked up to my MacBook Pro, but those go away after the tried-and-true unplugging and plugging back in approach. Overall, I am very satisfied with this product! It looks awesome and does what it's supposed to. So far, so good!

This was my first monitor to experience 144hz gaming. Thanks to Freesync, it is manageable even with a Fury X (like I have). 2560x1440 is a great intermediate resolution between 1080p and 4k. This monitor also being an IPS panel means great colors and great viewing angles. The stand is of amazing quality. it has tilt, height, and swivel adjustment options. The monitor itself can also be mounted via VESA. I did not need to calibrate colors or anything either. it was good right out of the box.

I love the monitor and the resolution is perfect for my work laptop and gaming laptop (no graphics card/ old nvidia 660m). I was leaning towards a 4k monitor but my graphic power being so low and the low refresh rate of those monitors made me lean towards this one. Only drawback is FreeSync if you have a Nvidia graphics card but I love this monitor so much, I'm leaning toward AMD for my next graphics upgrade. At the price I got it for , this was a steal! Highly reccomend.

Fantastic monitor! The ips glow is noticeable on dark screens in the corners, but it’s something you have to accept if you want an ips monitor. Overall the colors are gorgeous and the glow is easy to ignore, and not noticeable at all if any color is on the screen. I use it for gaming every day and never have issues.

The colors are great, the response time is good for an ips display. It's hard to find a monitor of similar quality in this price range. I am docking off a point though because it's stand isn't what it could be, it was also a little bit of a pain to remove, otherwise a great experience so far.

I have read many reviews about XF270HU which had a bad rep for high number of defects. So when I bought this updated version (XF270HUA), I was ready to exchange the product 2-3 times until I get one free of dead pixels and/or backlight bleed. I am happy to say I did not need to. This monitor is perfect, and the updated bezels made it much more attractive than the previous model. For those worried about 'panel lottery', FWIW I think Acer did good this time around.

I built a new computer and felt like I really needed to go bigger and higher resolution, and this monitor meets all my needs beautifully. I did a lot of comparison shopping, and even though it is a little older it handles freesync well and has a great display. Very little IPS backlight (a little in the lower-right corner, and that's it) and no dead or stuck pixels at all. Finding monitors right now is difficult, and I feel lucky I was able to grab this one.

This is an amazing monitor. It arrived in perfect condition with no dead pixels, haziness on the sides, etc. It is superb and I couldn't be happier with it. My only complaint is that it's Free Sync rather than G-Sync, but I knew that when I purchased it. I didn't see the price of the G-Sync monitors to be justified, so I am pairing this with a GTX 1070 and still seeing amazing results on the latest titles. Can't be happier.

I purchased this monitor for use as a primary gaming monitor. Freesync was easy to setup and operates from 40 to 144 Hz according to the AMD graphics settings panel. The XF27HUA not only supports Freesync, but it has excellent color reproduction. Calibrating the display with "DisplayCal" gave near flawless RGB coverage and a spot on 6500K color temperature. Couldn't be happier with this purchase.

Monitor was really clear and fortunately mine arrived with no dead pixels. This monitor can be turned vertically as well which is awesome. To get 144 hz refresh rate however, you need to have DP and HDMI plugged into the monitor and GPU simultaneously. However, this does not work as instructed in the owners manual and I am clocking in about 100 hz. Not too bad though, can't even tell the difference.
