The phone is a replacement. It has been working so well. I'm glad that it was still available. My paternal grandmother doesn't do well with android so this phone is a blessing for her.

They do not have good reception. Purchased it thinking th his would work for a gift. Tried to get it serviced. Reception was horrible couldn't use iui t and couldn't return it. Big waste of money.

Bought this phone for my father loves it very easy for him to use. Big buttons for him to see and push easily he’s 87 years old. Works great for him.

Best flip phone for my dad to use. He was able to negate settings easily and use it without any issues.

The phone is not user friendly for an elderly person. I purchased the phone for my father, who is 90-years-old. Unfortunately, we could not increase the font size or change the colors, which would have been helpful with his failing eye site.

Am going to return ..the keypad is very difficult to use as the keys always stick ...the numbers are large but the alphabet keys are not!

Overall a good versatile phone with things I like and things I don't. I like the voice activated texting (using wifi). I really like call blocking so you can avoid repeated junk calls from the same number. I do NOT like the lack of speaker phone--don't know why they didn't add this feature--very inconvenient for when on hold for long periods. Don't like the fact that you can't magnify or zoom into photos or attachments sent by text, so they're very hard or impossible to read. Don't like a couple other glitchy things like when creating a text by voice the very first letter is never capitalized, so I always need to go back and correct that manually. Also after going into texting or into contact list you always need to back out of every single step, even after you've closed the phone and think you can cleanly start over. The steps you entered previously are still there, so that's a bit tiresome. Also after setting alarm for some reason the alarm indicator won't go away on the outside screen after alarm has gone off and should be cleared. Hopefully these glitches will be corrected on future upgrades of this phone. I've learned to live with the limitations of the Alcatel, but like it way better than my old Doro flip phone which was good for many years.

I purchased this for my special needs brother. The service is terrible in the area that he lives in. I returned it and went with Verizon.
