Customers are saying

Customers regard the Aurora R16 Gaming Desktop's performance and design very favorably, with many praising its speed and sleek aesthetics. The quiet operation during gaming is also a frequently cited positive. However, some users have reported concerns about the system's cooling capabilities. Overall, the positive feedback on performance and design outweighs the negative comments regarding cooling.

Firmware update bricks the PC one month in

An unprompted firmware updated just went through suddenly as I rebooted my PC. Somehow this caused my windows pin to corrupt as well as the network adapter to fail, thus bricking the pc. Have to hard reset and lose all of my files now. Ridiculous. I’ve never had something like this happen in 20 years of using windows pcs.

Got a used on and it was HWID banned. Lost my 10+ year steam account with thousands of inventory items spent because the previous owner was a hacker and Best Buy/Alienware refuse to help me. PC was bought less than a month ago. Offering me no help or replacement. Absolutely sickens me that I spent $3k on this junk.

My friends are AMD gpu and RYZEN cpu fans. They have 78003dx cpu and rtx 3070 for ~112 fps on streets (Escape from Tarkov) but this built high end but 70-90 fps lol. I contacted customer service and they changed every settings but no luck still same bad… i promise its my 5th computer and i know how to make settings for Escape from tarkov. The different joke is i bought same computer from dell.com and made same settings but still 70-90 fps. I guess alienware setup something wrong? Cyberpower reaches 120 fps but too high temp. I have no idea what should i use to play Escape from Tarkov gg

I only purchased the computer because GeekSquad couldn't remedy a problem with a video card I purchased at the store. This was the solution after months of Geek Squad failing to address the black screen issue. I was advised by TotalTech there is no email I can write to but post my experience here.

The alienware aruora is indeed powerful computer but has faults that lie within the system itself that causes issue like shuts down and untentional damage to things like its cpu with the absence of bios updates I would not recommend this computer at this time.

Keep clear from this desktop. It did not work out of box and dell limits the upgradable RAM and SSD. I purchased extra memory and storage that didn’t work at the power level was advertised. Dell doesn’t allow non OEM parts to work. Will be returning and getting the Corsair i500.

Bought this solely for gaming. Best PC I have ever had. It’s so fast and so easy to use and set up. Definitely top notch. My only problem was that it was getting overheated but once I moved it from under my desk it didn’t happen again! Best advice is to have a pc cart with open top to prevent heating

    Defective CPU

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

When I saw the reviews initially, it stated many people were having issues with the CPU. I thought I wouldn't. I was wrong. It worked great for 6 months, then I was getting countless BSOD and couldn't play a single game without crashing. I was pulling out my hair, swapping out each hardware component and running every software diagnostic software possible. I eventually opened a ticket with Dell and they swapped out the CPU. Problem solved. Since then, it had been running like a dream. This system is a gamble, and if you're willing to risk it and understand you're paying a premium, then go for it. In hindsight, if I had known I would be this stressed out over this, I would've bought a custom built solution

I've had this computer for about a year now. It's given me nothing but problems. I had dell replace the whole pre build about 2 months in because games kept crashing. Then the new machine was doing the same thing so they sent someone out to replace my processor, a month later and the same thing is happening. Total waste of time and money. DO NOT BUY!!!! research the processor they put in these computers.

Don’t buy this computer I bought it in n December of 2023 and I’ve sent it to dell to get fixed twice and it still has issues. I got 20 blue screens of death in a row it’s just not worth it. I used to like Alienware but not anymore your better off just building a pc yourself with the money you wre going to spend already.
