Customers appreciate the value, cleaning performance, quiet operation, and ease of use of this 3.4 Cu. Ft. 8-Cycle Top-Loading Washer. Many also highlight its capacity and size as positive aspects. However, some users find the lid lock inconvenient, and a few have noted concerns about the agitation and balance during the spin cycle. Overall, the positive feedback significantly outweighs the negative.

So enjoying my new Amana gas clothes dryer. My previous one was a used one that I had for 17 years and it finally gave out. Love the many choices for different drying loads for this dryer.

Bought because 12-year-old machine quit. Delivery and setup went smoothly and the guys were friendly and helpful. We are a retired couple doing six loads per week max. Cost and size were key factors in our purchase. We bought the Downy Ball to dispense fab softener and it works well and uses less softener. Energy efficiency isn't the highest but it's better than what we had. The washer has a low noise factor but if it gets tedious to listen to, we just close the laundry room door. We chose this unit because of other good ratings, and we're glad we did. After two months of use we are very pleased.

Got this on sale for one hundred dollars off regular price. Doesn't have all the bells and whistles of higher priced models out there. Couldn't be more pleased with this washer. Can't believe how quiet it is also. Very easy to use. Really like the lid lock while in use. Would recommend this to anyone who wants quality and value in a washing machine.

Great washer for the price, very quite, holds more then it looks like it would. Only thing I did not like is no way to just stop it so you can soak clothes, because after a few minutes it thinks the cycle is cancelled and it drains the water out

I do like the washer and find it easy to use after I figured out the cycles of which there are several. However, was really disappointed to find my Downy ball won't open because it doesn't spin fast enough! There is no fabric softener dispenser either so I have to only use dryer sheets. It does agitate differently not as swiftly but does clean well and the clothes are clean when done. I would do more thorough research if had to do over again. Doesn't do a comforter well...gets out of balance.

This washing machine is wonderful! If you need a basic machine without bells and whistles, this is it! It was a great value, does a fine job and is quiet. Because the agitator is not enormous, we can fit our large quilt into the machine and getting clothes out after washing is much easier than with our old machine.

I have had this machine for just over a month. I was a little hesitant because of some of the bad reviews, but decided to give it a shot because of the overall rating and the price. I am so glad I did! This machine has easily handled everything I have thrown at it so far! It is a lot more energy efficient than my old machine but it gets my clothes a lot cleaner. I was worried about the noise level and the locking lid from the negative reviews, but the locking lid is easily unlocked if you need to get into the machine at any point and it is a lot quieter than my old machine was, so I am happy to report that those claims were unfounded. Overall, this machine has done fabulously so far and I am very pleased with my purchase!

I have been using this washer for about 6 weeks now. It is very dependable thus far. Works great, fairly quite and even with big loads it gets everything clean. For the price and quality of this unit its great for a first time washer buyer.

I had a Maytag for seven years that I stuffed to the gills and always unloaded super-clean clothes without issue. The timer gave out and instead of trying to order a new one and pay someone to put it in, we bought this machine as a replacement. So far, it seems that it is efficient, reliable, and quiet. No issues with washing a full load of clothes. However, be careful with larger items. I put in a queen-size fleece blanket, nothing super bulky, but when the water absorbed into the blanket and the load began to rinse, the blanket was too heavy in volume and the washer shook viciously. I ended up stopping the load and wringing the water out into the bathtub - not practical but problem solved. Otherwise, I think it is a fairly good machine for the money.

Saves space in tight places since top loading, but otherwise top loaders are going out of style for a reason (hard to get things out). Not an HE model so uses more water. But for the price it does the job, simple and easy. Have had it only 2 months so can't speak to longevity, if worried you should buy it with a credit card that gives you an extra year of warranty.

I'm not sold on the new machines yet so I thought I would buy an old fashioned one and this one was as close as I could get. I read many review that had complaints about the locking lid and some reviews complained about it being loud. IT IS NOT LOUD, but it does make DIFFERENT noises than any other machine I have heard in the last 47 years! It sounds different but not loud, at one point I thought it was making small rocks out of big rocks but doing it quietly! The interlock on the lid is a minor nuisence. If you find an item that needs to be added after the wash cycle has begun, push the soft rubber button near the main dial, wait for the machine to stop, listen for the lid to unlock, open the lid to add the item, close the lid and push the rubber button to start the machine where it left off, Its even easier than it sounds. The tub seems to be hung from the top of the machine and I suppose this aids in keeping it in balance, because in the month I have owned it, I have never seen it out of balance during the spin cycle!!! I bought this machine because My clothes are simple, darks, whites and extra dirty work clothes so I dont need a fancy machine. This machine will clean your clothes without any fuss, just be prepared for different noises than you are used to. After a month you wont even notice the different sounds. Best washing machine I've ever owned.

This is a matter of you get what you pay for. I needed as inexpensive as possible, and for that it has worked very well. I miss having any bells and whistles though, as this is as bare bones as you can get in a washer. It works very well though.

This washer dryer combo is priced great. It was listed as 299.99 one week and when I came back for purchase, it had gone up in price quite a bit. The manager was able to bring the price back down for me, which was nice. I don't like that there's no spot for softener. The lid locks and will NOT let you get in unless you cancel the whole load and start over. A couple of my loads have come out smelling unwashed, but that may have been overloading on my part. Overall, its 100% better than going to the laundromat! If you can spend a little extra, go for a better model than this though.

Yes, it does make some odd noises and the manual mostly explains what it's doing and why. Yes, the lid locks and as the same manual clearly states, push a button wait a moment or two and it unlocks, open it, do your thing, close it, push it again and the cycle continues. Complex? No. Confusing? No. Difficult? No. The manual even explains how the fill cycle works for those who care how long it takes and why. Those wash cycles do run a little long however so if you sit and watch the clock while your dirty clothes get clean this may not be the machine for you. On the other hand if you want a no frills budget machine that does a decent job of your laundry loads this definitely could be the one. Having no need to replace the super heavy duty but defunct ancient Maytag with an equivalent now that the family of five has evolved to just two, this machine fits the bill. The lack of an extra small wash cycle, mildly annoying at first, is really only a relatively trivial shortcoming. Nothing fancy, other than the gaudy cycle progress lights, nothing elegant or stylish, it just works. A little noisy overall and even with the supposed higher spins speeds clothes come out slightly soggier than you might expect but at this price point something has to give. Longevity and build quality however are big unknown, early days yet.

It is a great wash machine for a wonderful price. It has easy to use instructions in case you have no clue what you are doing and it even breaks down the different types of loads you want to use.
The downsides are slim to none. It takes about 5-7 minutes for a full, large load. It could just be the connections we have at our apartments that make it load slowly, but for us it is really slow. It is also a bit load.

Bought this for the household because the old washer died and we didn't have much money to spend. So far, it's been great. Super easy to use, good capacity, quiet operation, clean clothes. Solid machine.
