    Great deal for a smartwatch

This watch is great. Starting with the presentation, there a lot of different options for watch faces. Whether you like analog or digital, there are some awesome looking faces for both. The watch itself is a bit bigger as it sits taller on the wrist. As for the apps on the watch, it offers more than I thought it would. I like how you have the option to either get a continuous HR or have it periodically check it to save battery. I also love how I get notifications and have the option to answer my phone with my watch. The GPS feature is awesome for when I go out for a run or bike ride I can track my distance and my time. Along with tracking distance, the watch tracks details of your workouts and uploads it to the app so you can view it which is awesome. I also like how you can control everything right from the watch so you don’t have to go into the app for everything. The one thing I would like is if it came with a more detailed instruction manual. The app helps you along when you are setting things up but it would be nice to have everything in a manual. Overall, this is an awesome smartwatch for a good price!

This watch works awesome! The main reason I got this watch was to start keeping track of how many steps I take a day at work. Just because I’m curious I wanted to double check how accurate the counting was; so, I counted out 200 steps in my head and then checked my watch. I did this ‘experiment’ 3 times and each time it was accurate within 3 steps! Which is really good in my experience for a typical step counter. Also, it is nice to be able to read any notification that comes to your phone on the watch. These are just my two favorite apps on the watch, it comes with many more. I added a photo to show how it looks on your wrist.

It's so convenient to receive texts, emails, calls, etc., right from your watch. I like that the font is bigger and really easy to read. Aside from the notifications, I love using the health and sleep apps. The health app shows me how many steps I've taken and alerts me when I'm halfway to my goal. The sleep tracker shows how much deep sleep you actually got. It's pretty shocking to see...especially on the weekends! I would definitely recommend this watch. So worth it for the price!

This is my first smartwatch. I chose this watch because of the features and the price. Setting up was tricky. The software wouldn’t update and the instruction manual was virtually non-existent. After trying to update the app, I decided to reinstall it. Just like that, it clicked. Now, I am sold. I wear my watch virtually every minute of every day. It’s comfortable and stylish. I love the features and the different watch face options. I go for the darkest watch face at night because if you move, in bed, the watch face lights up. I track my steps, heart rate, and my sleeping habits. Eventually, I will use the workout and running options. I love that I can send and receive calls. I don’t have to run for the phone. I don’t have an addictive personality. However, this watch is changing that.

The Amazfit Verge has a circular plastic body with one button that sits on the upper right side. Not only is this the power button but it allows you to exit any app and return to the home screen, much like the home button on an iOS. The microphone is on the same side as the power button and the speaker is on the opposite side. The back of the watch has the heart rate sensor and the contacts for charging. It sends you notifications but you can’t use it to respond to any of them. It has a phone built-in but in order to make a phone call, you have to have your phone nearby with the Bluetooth turned on and not connected to any other Bluetooth device. This feature might come in handy for if you’re busy and can’t access your phone or for hands-free driving. It comes loaded with many watch faces to choose from. However, some of the faces tried to squeeze in too much info into too small a space, making it a little hard to read some of the info before the light timed out. Although it will use more battery, you can change the screen time by going into settings>preferences>Lock screen>Off screen mode (change to On). Other ways you can set it to view the time are by pressing the power button, raising your wrist, and double-tapping the screen. However, I have found that double-tapping only works half the time. It alerted me to get up and move if it sensed I was sitting around too long. When working out, it alerted me if I exceeded or fell below the goals I set for time, distance, or heart rate. It continuously tracked my heart rate as long as I was running a workout app. However, once all the apps are closed, the heart rate app doesn’t continuously check your heart rate so you have to tap “Check now” every time you want to check your heart rate. One major problem is that it can only handle one app at a time. For instance, if I did multiple exercises in my workout routine, I’d have to end one workout app before opening up another one. The battery life is pretty good. It only takes a couple hours to charge and lasts for three to four days on average. The Amazfit Verge does NOT have a proper user’s manual to guide you through all of its features. Instead, you have to do an online search just to get a little bit of info. It does, however, come with a 17-page instruction booklet that tells you how to turn it on and off; download the app to your phone, and place the watch in the charger. It is labeled as water resistant and comes with an IP68 certification rating, just about every website advises to take it off before diving in for a swim or even stepping the shower while wearing it. The watch is a bit too bulky, lacks good uncongested watch faces that are easy to read. It lacks the ability to do basic multitasking.

I have an apple watch and I was looking for another option with similar functionality. Things I love about this watch - it's a fun style and a great change from the apple watch. The battery life is also much better than the apple watch. The price point is a huge plus too! Downsides - it took over a week for my watch to arrive so you will need to plan ahead. The app is also not very intuitive.

Review of amazfit Verge: Overall this is a great watch. It’s gets the job done and fits within the budget! I love the different watch faces you can have. I LOVE that I can get my text, email, and other notifications on it. There are a few things that can be improved, such as the app but I highly recommend this watch if you’re looking for a smart watch that doesn’t break the bank!

The watch looks good and feels fine. Charging station has a USB cord attached to it but does not come with attachment to plug into wall. The instruction manual really only tells you how to turn it on and sink it to your phone, there is no actual instructions for the watch provided. As for using the watch I wouldn’t trust the step counter - seemed like wind hitting the watch caused it to count steps. It was cool using the GPS running function than seeing the end result on the map on my phone. I also liked like getting the alerts for my children’s baby monitor and my Ring camera on my watch when I wasn’t by my phone.

Amazfit Verge smartwatch review The watch is quite comfortable to wear. The band is wide enough and strong enough for comfort. The watch is quite good loooking and the selection of watch faces is more than enough. I have used the heart monitor and heart beat, and they are both good. The big problem with the watch is the supplied instruction manual. It is only good enough to indicate how to turn the watch on and off. The web site for a better instruction manual should be shown in the supplied instruction manual. Otherwise, the owner of the watch will be at a loss as to how to properly use the watch. Roy A. Erwin

I purchased this smart watch based on its cool design aspects and functionality. I love that you can change the face of the watch and your even able to get more faces downloaded from the internet to make the watch more customizable. The icons on the watch are easy to use and follow. The online user manual is helpful for the set-up. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that my wife wanted to use with her iPhone and the phone function is only compatible with an android phone. Overall great watch for the price.

Lack of so many little options found in newer smart watches makes this a little obsolete.

Thought this was going to be a nice smart waych, well, it was whilst it lasted, broke after a few month's of light use, threw it in the trash and purchased a real smart watch made by Samsung.
