I have enjoyed my "dot" very much. It's awesome for listening to music. I'm not too tech-savvy, but it was incredibly easy to set up and use.

This thing is a game changer. Everyone who comes over is going to ask you where to get one. I got this to pair with my philip hue light bulbs

After reading multiple reviews of this product I decided it was time to upgrade to a smart home. It really is an amazing product that can learn patterns and is a breeze to set up. Paired two dots with a couple of on/off switches and light dimmers and the leaning began. So easy to operate (just talk) I'm already looking at other units to expand (echo - for better music sound) and show for picture content. All can be "linked" to play and command different items. Limitless possibilities !!

All the benefits of Echo, without the steep price. The internal speaker is ok, but it's even better when you pair it to a bluetooth speaker.

Alexa is Great. For the price of the echo dot, you will not find a cheaper smart device that can answer questions, play music and turn on lights. I wasn't big on the whole 'talking computer' so I didn't want to spend a lot on the Google Home or Amazon Echo. The dot is perfect for anyone not wanting to spend a lot but still want to take full advantage of Alexa. I can change the temperature of my Nest thermostat and tell Alexa to turn my lights on and off with Belkin WeMo. Definitely recommend giving Alexa a try. I did and love her.

This is a good product. I bought 2 of them as gifts.

It’s a great little gadget anybody would love to have

Wasn't sure what to think of this, but after having it only for a week, I love it! I'm sure there is more and more to learn about it and I'm excited to use it in new ways, but it is an enhancement to every day life for sure.

I have 4 of these and an Echo. We use them as alarms, timers, weather checkers and to turn on./off our lights. Great invention.

Great product, does what is advertised and was easy to connect to Internet. Easy to use and has a great sound for music as well.

While the product is exactly as advertised; easy to set up; inexpensive, I have yet to figure out what I would really use it for. But I've only had it out of the box for a couple of days. Voice recognition works sooo much better than Siri (Ive given up on Siri).

Not really a Google guy, only as an online search engine. Amazon home IoT products are really taking over by storm and this device if used to its potential is no different. I have a home filled with networking compatible devices such as light bulbs, thermostats and sensors that is fully compatible with Alexa products. Does what I ask (most of the time) if your devices are properly installed. The only reason why I gave this 4 stars is its sound. When playing music, its next generation dot provides more realistic sound that doesn't sound like its coming from a low end international produced device. But what do you expect from such a small device about 4 inches in diameter.

Nice product but Alexa can’t answer basic questions.

This is my second Echo Dot. I also have an Echo Show. Soon I will have Alexa everywhere. She helps me a lot. Someday robots will rule the universe. But not yet - I can still pull the plug. The best deal is at Best Buy - Jim

I like how it connects with Amazon Fire Tv and my LG smart phone. It can make calls or send texts on the fly. It can answer questions. Is also customizable for local news and weather and personal calendar, events, and alarms.

Bought this to go with the Echo+. Easy to install and works right along with main Echo. We need to extend access into a "dead wi-fi zone" and it works perfectly! Make sure you buy second generation for security enhancement.

My kids even love it more than I do. They sits close by just to tell Alexa to play their favourite Christmas songs. I can’t understand why waited so long before getting this. The only reason why I did not give it five star I have not see all that it can do. I may give another review when I put it through all my tests.

This little device comes in handy when you have multiple rooms in your place and the main Alexa device is out of range. The dot syncs up with the Alexa echo perfectly and can be used as a sound amplifier to communicate with Alexa. The speaker quality leaves something to be desired. However for $30 who can really complain?
