This is an excellent tablet for kids. My son absolutely loves it. Its so easy to use, that he has already figured out how to move between apps, unlock,and navigate. The free year of amazon is great as well. Unlimited shows, books, and games, all for kid. No need to worry about what they are doing. A+ in my book!!!

my son asked for this from santa. it was agreat gift and went over well. good screen, excellent protection and incredible warranty. apps are plentiful but would be better with an sd slot as space go quick.

Great for a first time experience with a tablet. My child really likes to read the books, watch the videos and play the games that are on the tablet. I really like that I can control how much time my child can be on the tablet each day. I would recommend this as a first time tablet.

Brought this for my 3 year old and she loves it!! She can easily navigate and turn on and off! And the case is amazing! The only thing would be the amount of storage on the tablet.

This tablet looks nice and operates fairly well. BUT, 8 gb is not enough....especially, if you have more than one child!! We kept getting kicked off of the Wifi when we ran out of storage, which was pretty quickly. I didn't want to have to keep deleting apps to make room. I returned the tablets within a week and bought the 16 gb ones.

I have had several different Kindles over the years and will continue to buy them. The kids Kindle has a great warranty, the case works well against bumps and drops and is rated well as a tablet for children. The issue was that apps available to be downloaded for the children have in app purchasing. Sometimes not clearly stated up front. It is probably the same for all tablets but I didn't want to set up an account and provide account information that would always be on record. Kids may be ready for a tablet but Grandma isn't ready for extra surprises. I would still recommend the tablet if you are used to extra purchasing.

I was feeling indecisive based on some of the reviews I read. I can see the issues people have with storage space but come on this thing is 8 GB. Anyone who has purchased tablets knows that they typically have things pre downloaded . My kid who is 3 loves this tablet. I do have to control the content by monitoring the amount of downloads and deleting when necessary. Its worth every Penney in my opinion. Lots of kid friendly apps and videos. I think its perfect for young children. I know people who give their kids IPads and those are full of adult content that should not be available to kids. This is plenty for my 3 yr old.

I love this product and many of its features. I appreciate the warranty, even though I have not used it because the bumper is very protective. I even purchased another one for my other child. These are great kid friendly tablets that parents can easily control.

This has been a lifesaver for our family, after Christmas we were facing a road trip with 3 children from Ohio to California, so decided this may be a good gift for them to unwrap and provide some peace along the way. It definitely was! Other than when they were needing a charge, we had 3 very quiet children reading books, watching shows, and playing games with ease. A little harder for us adults to navigate, but they had no issues. Once we arrived we have used the limits to restrict them from using it as much but definitely worth every penny. Not to mention I've seen them dropped, stuff spilled on them, etc. No issues!

Absolutely love the product! My son is two years old and we use it for educational purposes with him, such as flash cards for words, reading, etc. He loves using it, and we can see improvements with him using this product. My son is also very active and excitable, much like any other 2 year old, and as such, he has thrown this product around like it was a football, but yet no damage what-so-ever! When they say child-proof they mean it, as my son, in my opinion, can break anything. I love how you can put parental controls on it, as well as limit what user can use what programs etc. I also love the fact that you can set "goals" on it as well. I would highly recommend this to anyone with a young child that want's to work with flash cards etc, and it also serves as great entertainment for them if they behave, as you can stream kid friendly tv shows, and applications.

Very satisfied with the product and Amazon free time has plenty of content to entertain kids and a good assortment of educational material as well. My only gripe about the product is managing space. My kids are always filling the memory with app downloads and data. The Amazon free time OS interface is horrible when I need to free up space. More than 8 GBytes of memory would be helpful but, what it really needs is a better space management system for both kids and adults.

Already comes with kid friendly content. Has a recommended age of 3-10 yrs. You can purchase or download other stuff on it as well. And you can have multiple profiles on it so it can be a kid tablet or adult tablet. I also really love that you can control the amount of time your kid spends on it and you can set it up to completely shut off and turn on at a specific time and you can set up educational goals for your child as well. Its a great tool for learning and fun and my son absolutely loves it.

This tablet is great for toddlers 3+. Able to watch kiddie shows & games. Even surf the web. Parental controls help monitor usage.

Had a lot of nice features. Parental control was very easy to set up. My child had very little difficulty using it.

Very easy to set up. Has a wide variety of games, videos and books to choose from. There were certain apps that my kids wanted that were not available in the FreeTime store. (YouTube, Angry Birds, etc.) I had to log out of their user profile, log in to mine, download, then go to their settings and authorize that content to be available to their profile. It's kind of a pain, but I understand why it is that way. For this reason, I could not give a five star rating.

We bought this for our 2 yr old because our 5 yr old had a regular kindle. He loves it, he can watch his videos and play games. It keeps his attention for hours especially in the car.

Educational & entertaining. My son enjoys the front and back camera as he loves taking selfies. He can also do his reading and playing all in the same device. I love freetime! This is great because I dont have to argue with him to do his homework (reading) first before playing. Play time control is much smoother. I also love the case that it comes with. I am not constantly worrying that it will break. All in all i love this tablet and my son does too!

It is a good starter for kids to use. I like the free time program that comes with the product it allows me to monitor and control what they do and how long they do it

I love the kindle products this one has a great warranty the only downside is lack of storage
