I have an iPad that I use often. When I bought this fire for my daughter I was surprised by how much she enjoyed it and was able to use it. She's hust turned 4 and knows how to use it better than me. We also purchased the prime for a year that allows her profile to be for children only making the interface more for children. But it can easily switch to its fully functioning tab.

We bought this Kindle for our 7 year old grandson. He and his parents instantly loved all the cool features. They especially loved that it's loaded with chapter books, which he is now reading ferociously! We're thinking about getting one for our granddaughter who turns 5 in a couple of weeks.

I bought this as a gift for my five year old niece. She is constantly taking my mini whenever she walks into the house. This is prefect for her to play games and take her little pictures. Now I get my iPad back minus the 1000 selfies she likes to take.

The limit of 8gigs hurts when on road trips. Some games n video take most of the memory. It's a little slow to start up for some apps and takes a while for kids and adults to navigate.

I bought this because a friend of mine purchased it for her son, it seemed great, so I went and bought it for my 3 year old daughter. She usually uses our iPads, this was nothing compared to iPads! Obviously that's why the price was so low. You have to be logged into wifi for almost everything. It also keeps freezing on us and storage space is very low.

Great for young kids, my daughter is 9 and she has dropped the tablet several times since Christmas and it has not cracked nor broken. I love the parental control, I can set the times she can and can't use the tablet. This is her second tablet and she loves the app and books offered. The large amount of data used doesn't slow down the apps.

I bought two kindles for my twins for Christmas. I was very disappointed in this tablet. For a tablet that is suppose to have 8gb it only let me download 4 apps and then told me it was 99% full and I could not use the WiFi until I delete some. Both of the Kindle did that. I took them back and exchanged for the Samsung tab 3 for kids.

Got two Kindle Fires for my kids for Christmas. Setup is a breeze, and the kids edition seems to have some good choices for games. The kindle only allows you to use have the storage because of it already used up half the hard drive when you first take it out of the box. Need less to say, the storage gets filled quick. There is not really a easy way to clean up the storage unless you are logged in as the profile that downloaded the game/books in the first place. The charging seems to take super long. Getting past those issues, the kindles are nice to have once the kids get used to them.

My 3yo son loves this thing. He is not limited in content and I don't need to worry about being charged for apps. He has limitless downloads and video to watch included for the first year. I love the 2 year no questions asked replacement.

Great product and durable, my nephew of 27 months has had the Fire HD Kids Edition - 6" for 27 months now and loves it, it will grow with him. Only issue is the 8 gb memory but you can always erase.

Perfect for my niece, shes almost 3 and loves the tech. Has tons of preloaded apps and videos and with the case it comes with comes pretty handy.

Good unit for the price. The only area that needs more is storage. We got this for a 30 hour drive and it made it most of the way which I was happy with. Not a lot of storage space though.

great gift my son picked it up and quickly learned how to use it and downloaded games he liked. also I set the parental controls easily so I don't have to worry and my child has hours of fun.

Bought this for my nephew for his 10th birthday and he just loves it! They have movies and shows as well as educational games to play!

I do not like that you have to put your credit card number in even if you do not want to. My son enjoys using it. Do like the android sysrem better, but this is suffice for a child

We have several of these for my kids. They are all under my account, and they automatically include the other kids profiles on each machine as well. This takes up some of the very precious 8GB storage. The charger cable for one of them stopped working and apparently it is considered an "accessory" so it is not covered under amazon's or best buy's warrantees. That is a bad policy. But it happened within the 14 day best buy return time so best buy gave me a new cable off the shelf to replace the broken one. That was good of best buy. They are good machines that perform well. The free trial of free time is something my kids will miss when it expires.

Love that it comes with a protective case, and access to books and movies! Wish it had more apps so my son can stop using my phone!

This is a tablet built for any child of any age with everything that interest their looking for. This kindle for kids was the best kids tablet out of all there was I had seen an got to play on this was the last one an the best that I seen that featured every kids desire.

Love this item. My 2 year old is able to operate the tablet by him self. I love the ability to have time limits and reading goals. I have tried other tablets for my kids and by far this one is the best.

they could do better with a little more powerful processor and more RAM. It hard to play some games and watch videos on it.
