I think it could be improved by allowing the user to keep all of their favourite channels and to be able to reconfigure the shortcut buttons on the remote. For example, I don't use Netflix, so having that as a shortcut does me no good.

I'm sorry to hear about this compatibility issue, especially since you were able to play these files on your 1st Gen device. While the Fire TV Stick 4K (2nd Gen) offers many improvements, I understand how disappointing it is to lose functionality you previously had. For the best possible audio experience with your high-resolution files, I recommend checking that your audio settings are optimized: go to Settings > Display & Sound > Audio and ensure you have the highest quality output selected for your setup. While the new one seems to work great, I am reluctant to rate it a 5 star item since the only reason I have it is because the previous one died. One day it worked the next it was a brick. Tried every reset, power cycling, and other recovery method to no avail.
