Definitely a great value for the price. Still, a charging block and an ad-free home screen would’ve been nice. It’s a little ridiculous to have to pay a fee to remove ads on a device you’ve already purchased.

I understand your frustration with the lock screen ads. I wanted to let you know that you have the option to remove these ads from your Kindle. You can remove the Special Offers (ads) by going to your Amazon account under Manage Your Content and Devices > Devices > select your Kindle > and choose "Remove Offers" for a one-time fee. Alternatively, you can contact Amazon Customer Support at 1-888-280-4331, and they can help you remove the ads from your device. Removing the Special Offers will eliminate the lock screen ads, which should also help with the unwanted wake-ups you're experiencing. The attempt to make turning the page better actually ruins the experience of turning the page frequently I end up skipping ahead multiple pages or behind multiple pages when I am trying to turn one page because they changed the feature the brightening of the display has ruined the experience of reading at night, even on the lowest brightness it is too bright for dim lighting, which was my favorite thing about the previous edition of the Kindle I wish the previous edition of the Kindle was still available. This one is not good.
