I absolutely love this new Kindle. I have the Paperwhite and find the light on that one to have a much bluer hue to the light. This new Kindle has a softer feel in the hand, it's lighter and I prefer the set-back screen (the paperwhite screen goes all the way to the edge, leaving a slight ridge you can feel on your fingers).

I love this device. Definitely worth the splurge. Compared to other kindle models this one has buttons for turning pages forward and backwards. It is also water proof/resistant and seems more functional than previous models.

Upgraded from a Paperwhite. Feels much better to hold and the warm light is amazing at night.

Had an old kindle before and have been using iPad for the last several years. Decided to try new kindle and glad I did. Live the light weight and small size. Also, being on the kindle helps reduce other distractions that come when using my iPad.

Love this tool. Only gave it 4 stars because the fit is still a little weird for me. The snotty surface on the back makes it slip out of my hand and I have to prop it against something so it can be tiring if I try to hold with one hand. Lightweight and the battery lasts FORVERRRRR! Love the mobility and compactness.

This is the only kindle I don't find painful to use. Too bad they didn't refresh this product line. I wish they would have made all of them like this instead of only the premium one.

Light and easy to hold. The battery last forever! A little pricey, but if you read a lot the higher price is well spent. The only down side is Amazon is still using the he micro-usb charger port which can be easily damaged.

Bought for my wife she reads 2-3 books a week and books are cheaper then buying a normal book and takes up a lot less space:)

Coming from a Kindle Voyage, this Oasis is a great upgrade. Love the thin aluminum build, bigger screen, and clickable buttons. Highly recommend!

Coming from the last Oasis, I was quite bummed when I bought one for my girlfriend and she had the warm-light feature which is standard on this latest model. It is a night and day difference for night reading! In fact, I traded in my old one and got a new model for myself just so I didn't have to lie in bed jealous. I've always liked the way this one felt in your hands - with the ergonomic side grip and buttons. It's just practical, and makes reading more enjoyable. I recommend the Kindle Oasis to any avid reader!

I purchased this for my son who is an avid reader. He loves the buttons that turn the pages since it makes it easier to use one handed lying in bed. Works great in the dark or full sunlight.

The Kindle oasis is a great upgrade from previous models. I love that it is waterproof and also has the paperwhite screen. It is easy on the eyes and well balanced in the hand.

Easy to hold with the way it is set up. Love the waterproof features. Size of the screen allows you to read more without having to constantly change the page. This is my 4th kindle and my favorite one so far

The Kindle Oasis E-Reader is not complicated. There's no distractions or temptations to click into other apps like you would on your tablet. You simply "swish and flick" by swiping the opening screen to launch your home page, which features the book you're currently reading, along with suggestions for other books. Library access is easy, too. If you started reading on, say, your phone during the day, the Kindle Oasis will ask if you want to take up where you left off (most of the Kindle devices will do this).

Almost everything about this device is excellent, and improved from previous versions. The most notable improvement to me is the uniformity of the backlight. It's perfect this time around, and that's something that really annoyed me in the past. It really is a device that has evolved for the better over time. Except for one shockingly dumb thing...Auto brightness is still backwards. It takes the brightness down to 0 in darkness, and it takes the brightness up to max in sunlight. E-ink displays should be at 0 brightness in sunlight, and about 50% in pitch dark rooms.
