I started with the lower priced kindle and returned for the Oasis. The quality is excellent and the back light is amazing. Larger screen is also very nice. Best e-reader our there

I really like reading on this and enjoy it more than an iPad or other kindles before it. It's also great to be able to take your library with you wherever you go.

I bought this for my wife to read more since having our baby. It allows her to read a lot more while nursing and when our baby is sleeping on her. She likes the buttons on the side to move the pages forward or backwards. The various light settings are wonderful when she reads in bed at night. She could nog be happier with it.

Changing the warmth of the backlight is awesome! It's a little slippery to hold, but I fixed that by adding a pop socket on the back. The screen looks great.

My Kindle Paperwhite was on its last leg, and this Oasis model is a great upgrade.

A great e-reader. The warm light option really relieves eye strain. Feels even lighter than my 2017 oasis.

I was hesitant about buying this since it’s so expensive, but since the Best Buy return policy is good, I decided to go for it. I’m glad I did. I sure beats reading on my iPhone at night. I mainly wanted this because of the ability to dim the light and turn it to warm mode. I was using the kindle app on my phone at night but even with the display turned down as far as it would go, the glow of the screen would bother my significant other. So far no complaints about the light. I took one star off because for 2 things, 1) I do find that it’s too easy to accidentally change the page 2) the processor is so slow. For the price, you’d think it would be a bit faster. Overall I’m glad I bought it and would recommend it. I’ve been really a lot more since I got it.

Lightweight and easy to hold. Great e-reader for reading in bed, small enough to fit in a purse.

I am a believer that you purchase a product based on your needs. I need an e-reader and I love my Oasis! When reading I don’t get eye strain like I would with a conventional screen, and I can change the font to a larger or smaller size depending on how long I’ll read for. I look at screens all day for work and when I want to read I don’t want to do it on a screen. This is not a screen it is a massage for your eyes. I love it.

Great product - the buttons are a great addition to the kindle.

I was going to wait until they made a larger version but due to an eye issue, I decided to get this now. Especially with the deal that was available. Nice price drop with $25 towards Shutterfly and 3 months of Kindle Unlimited After a few weeks of use, I find the size is quite acceptable. Font sizes aren't as adjustable but I don't do much of that anyway. The light adjustment is not bad and in direct sunlight is actually better than the backlighting. Pretty simple to use although I haven't delved to deeply into anything past downloading directly from Amazon

This is the best ereader on the market, in my opinion. Lightweight, non glare with tons of storage. Can’t beat it

I purchased this kindle for my 98 yr old mother. She was an avid reader all her life but in the past ten years her eyes have been getting progressively worse. She was trying to read with a magnifying glass but found it too difficult. Although she felt that the screen would be hard on her eyes, I took a chance. She is so very happy! The brightness contol of the screen is perfect for eye comfort. Obviouly the font size control stops her from having to use the magnifying glass. And what I was most worried about, the simple buttons to turn the page makes it workable for someone who uses no technology at all! She was so intimidated that it would be too tech, the simplicity made it usable on day one! So, although this review doesn't compare it to other kindle options, I just wanted to share what a change it has made in the quality of life for someone who had lost hope of being able to read again. She is reading to make up for lost time...almost one book per day!! Thank you kindle!!!
