I bought this for my sister and gave it to her on August 16, 2020 which is her birthday and when I got back to Arizona I saw that it was on sale I called for a price check and was denied. They stated it was too long. Very disturbed about that

Good product for ebooks which is the point of it.....

Ordered this for an older gentleman who liked the idea of digital books that cost less than hard or paperback. However, it was so hard to set up and so small it was difficult for him to manage.

The OS needs some work. It is a bit clumsy to use.

Pop a pop socket on it and it becomes extra, love it.

Overall, it was ok. My eyes are not as good as they used to be thus I need high contrast. The contrast is ok for me. Also, I read a lot on my iPad and i find much easier to read.

like the gen 3 keyboard much better. Hate how the touch operates on this "modern" Kindle. Often, when doing next page or previous page. It'll skip quite a few. Maddening !

The all new waterproof Kindle Paperwhite 2018 is an improvement over all of the other ones out there. I have had no glitches so far other than the battery percentage not showing when it is supposed to, but am waiting for an update on that. I traded my Oasis in for this because the battery drained whenever I wasn't using the device and it was too heavy. I can't tell if the battery on this device is different since I keep refreshing it to try to update it, but the screen has no shadows at the bottom. That was one thing I hated about the previous Paperwhites. It's not as good as the Oasis, but this is still a GREAT option for less money. This is more like a waterproof Voyage without the buttons if you want to know which device it is similar to. (I've had all three devices!) I like how smooth the screen is compared to the other Paperwhites. It is lighter and thinner, and the waterproof feature does work. I only wish this had comfortpro (night time mode) but I have a Kobo for that. Amazon did a good job with this device. I also liked getting the free months of Kindle Unlimited! That was a nice bonus. So far I haven't had any pinhole issues either, this was a common problem on the Voyage. I'd recommend this to anybody who has wanted an Oasis but held out because of the price. I think this is a good compromise between the Voyage, Oasis and Paperwhite. It has a little bit of everything from those devices, minus the buttons.

It’s kind of hard to understand how to navigate around. It’s hard to get back to where are your Books are and it’s hard to find apps to download books other than what’s preloaded

Waste of money. Was supposed to have connection for headphones, but does not. I have to connect to external speakers to hear audio books. Also SLOW. Very frustrating. I have been hearing all the hype about Kindles over the years and I finally broke down and bought one. Total disappointment, I never use it.

I've had this device less than a month and it is already glitches and freezes. Since I am past my two week return window I guess I'm out of luck.

I like the concept of being able to read without holding a book and not having to go out to the library then out to return but I need to hook up to WIFI when I go to doctor's appointments which is why I purchased this item. I am not tech savvy so this is a big hassle for me and makes it pretty much useless to me! I am unable to find a receipt either so I feel like I am stuck with this high priced item that I am unable to use.

Bought this Kindle for my mom and she loves it the only thing she said she hates is that it is in black-and-white LOL

The tablet itself is excellent to read on. I would like to be able to transfer my own downloaded books instead of requiring the kindle subscription

It’s ok. It mostly does its job. It runs slow and is a little touchy at times. Don’t think it’s worth the money. Would’ve better off buying an Amazon tablet and just downloading the app. The dark mode works until you need to change the page then it flickers white.

Does what it's suppose to do. I like the color black, and it appears to be black. Used dad's credit card, and that was good.
