Disappointing compared to older Kindle.

It doesn’t respond to finger taps as quickly as my old Kindle Touch, which I had for over 8 years; replacement was necessary as the old Kindle died. In addition, I find that locating the books in my library is cumbersome. The only thing I like about this one in comparison to the older one is that it is back lit.

Greatly Improved Basic Kindle

The improvements to the basic Kindle are great! I've been reading on mine the past several days and I'm extremely impressed. The lighting is the brightest, whitest and most even I've seen. It's comfortable to hold, easy to read, and just as responsive as my Oasis and my husband's Paperwhite. Highly recommend!

Simplest e-reader on the market

The e-ink display is absolutely lovely and the form factor beats using a full sized iPad or your phone. Sure you don't get any color for things like magazines and comics, but for books alone, this is the best in it's class.
